Here's a job that I really hope turns into something huge. I did this 2002 Land Rover Discovery Series 2 - SE7 for a very nice family in which my mom does gardening designing and maintenance for (how I got the job). They live in a very affluent area and like I said, hopefully this job will grow into more.

When I got there, the paint was dulled, scuffed in areas, swirled moderately, and it definately was in some fender benders. The interior was covered with Golden Labrador hair and smelled like curdled milk from an AC problem (had fixed before I got there). I had my work cut out for me!

I hit the carpets with some spritz' of Simple Green to pretreat, then my OxyClean mixture. All dash, trim, and seats recieved Water:Woolite (6:1). All dash and trim pieces recieved 303 Aerospace and seats receieved Lexol Leather Conditioner. -Sorry no pics-

Onto the exterior. After testing a couple areas after washing/claying, I stuck to my polishing process. My final processes were:

-Mother's Gold Wash

-Wolfgang Clay with QEW Lube

-WW Dry

-#80 Speed Glaze via Rotary and Meguiar's Polishing Pad @ 1500rpm

-NXT by hand

-NXT on wheels

-AA on Wheel Wells, tires, and running boards

-303 AeroSpace on the rest of the exterior plastic

I battled with overcast all day, so please excuse the pics if they are a little off in lighting.

After she drove it to the store, hence the running board footstep that I just noticed

As I was finishing the Land Rover, they were EXTREMELY happy claiming how much of a new car it looked like. Too bad they're selling it now, but they were just plain thrilled.

They asked me if I could give the Jag a quick wash. Of course I accepted and proceeded. Final process was:

-NXT Wash

-Eagle One Wax As You Dry

-Simple Green to de-grease wheels

-AA on tires and in wheel well

-WW Dry

I will be calling them this evening to see how they enjoyed their detail and seeing if they'd like to schedule their Jag (pretty swirled) and their son's new A4 (such a nice, flaky blue). BTW: After Simple Green, OxyClean, Janitorial Odor Remover, and Ozium New Car Smell, the Land Rover smelled new and fresh, not like old milk. :)

Enjoy!

Great job as always !:xyxthumbs

Whats Ozium New Car Smell ?

Thanks!

Ozium New Car Smell is something you can pickup at Wal-Mart or pretty much any auto care store. It actually neutralizes and kills bad odor particles and leaves a pretty fresh scent. A little goes a long way. I spray that in all cloth interiors and smelly leather ones. For clean leather ones, I have a nice leather scent spray from 4 Star.
