80/81/nxt

GOT PREP?
I applied 80 speed glaze with the PC (yellow megs pad), 81 with the pc (yellow megs pad), applied NXT by hand. I like this combo!



This car is a daily driven 94 Accord(by my better half), so the paint is IMO at its maximum potential.

I adore Speed Glaze. It's must have in my arsenal. I use it religously and swear by it!



It gets no love here for some reason. Not many people use it. I guess because of its availability.



Again, hats off to a great looking car w/ 155k miles!!

Thanks! #80 is my favorite meguiars product, it is a part of almost every detail I do. I have no idea why it hasn't been more well received with enthusiast detailers.

A possible answer is because people do not know exactly what is, what is does and where in the detailing process it should be used.

There are many, but I will post what i have seen from personal experience and read here and on SCC.



Speed glaze is rated at a 4 where SFP is a 3. SG flashes like a wax, sfp is more like working with #9 or maybe #3. SG leaves behind some protection(it leaves behind a paintable polymer), it was designed to give painters a way to provide protection within the recommended cure time. SFP does not do this as far as I know. IMO SG is much easier to work with and the results are pretty much the same as far as quality of finish. Obviosly SG has a little bit more bite than the SFG, but you can definitely go straight from SG to wax. Hope this helps.
