looking for advice on using the 7.5 curved, and to see if anyone has tried this . . .

6-6.5 pads = the only size that I use on the rotary. IMO, larger sized pads are a thing of the past. I can't remember the last time that I used an 8" pad (or had too).

sweet . . . . though i was crazy. any advantages on the curved pads . . . i found them very difficult to controll, and the thought of tilting the rotary for tight spots, at least at my expierience level. . . screams "catching an edge"

According to Brown Santa (UPS truck!) my Makita 9227 is going to be delivered tomorrow. I feel like a big 47 year old kid! Anyway, I have a boat load of LC 6.5" pads and I'm tickled by all the positive replies about them on a rotary! Thanks guys! Ya'll have made my day.

From my limited time using 7.5" LC curved edge pads I find them fantastic for tight areas requiring control. When you tilt the pad it is not on edge, rather a 2 -3 inch flat area that is perfect for around door handles and emblems.

i was afarid to try that, i will re-evaluate my 7.5 pads and try them in that fashion . . . hows that hitcahi doin GLI ? Likin the 5 year warranty . . ?

Yeah the 5 year warranty does feel good doesn't it ;) . Don't be afraid to try tilting the pad as that is what it was designed for. I think I'm going to try some constant contact pads as well, but these pads are a fantastic all around pad.
