5 Star Shine and Toughgard

I'm new to this site and trying to gather information on various products.



On a Maxima website I have seen some questions about these paint protection products called 5 Star Shine and Toughgard.



They have websites and make all kinds of claims about 5 year guarantees and never have to wax your car again - yada yada yada.



I was just curious if any of you serious detailers had seen or maybe even tried these products and have an opinion.



Like many detailing products - I think many of the claims are too good to be true, but that does not mean the product may not have some value. Perhaps it compares with some of the products you all use that have a more estabished name.

Please use the SEARCH function to look for answers and info. Both products have been discussed before many times. There are posts about them over a year old so these products are not new to us.



Be flexible in your search criteria; for example, try "Toughguard" as well as your spelling. The info is here, you'll have to find it.
