5" plate for 5.5" pads?

I bought a "kit" 7424 from autogeek that cam with 6.5" pads. I also have a slew of PB products (SSR2.5, 1, PP, BH, etc...)

I want to step down to the 5.5" pads and was wondering if the 5" plate provides a sufficient buffer to the edge of the pad (0.25")? I'm also considering picking up 105 while i'm there, but i'm concerned about it finishing down well. would any of my existing PB products be up to the task or should i think about the 205? the vehicle(s) in question are my 05 F150 and my wife's 05 C230 Benz. thanks.

Yeah, that'll be fine.

While I *really* like using M205 after M105, I've used other stuff (not PB's though, never tried anything of theirs) and it worked fine. There's nothing all the special/different about how M105 leaves a finish; it's just a nice compound that usually doesn't leave things too scoured up but *does* need a milder product follow-up.
