Today's challenge....

My wife's brother has 5 daughters -oldest is 13, youngest is 6. Needless to say, the family hauler gets some abuse. They are in town for the holidays, and I decided to spend some time in the garage vs. chaos in the house :)

Wash: Optimum
Wells/Wheels: Optimum APC 6:1 (and they still need some work...)
Tires: NL

Interior: Woolite and water -over everything. Kids&Pets on carpet spots and Stoners Carpet Cleaner on all of the carpet's (I'm still working on a few spots....)

Paint: Clay on the flats.

Poorboys Polish w/Sealer and Poorboys QD+ (or is it QW+).

That's all for now...... I'm still working on it (4 hours so far). I need a break :)

Here are a few shots.

looks great! How are you liking the PwS? I dont really have anything bad to say about it, its a nice product.

PwS and QW+ makes a nice 2 step combo IMO. I like it.

I detail a local guys Acura NSX. He stopped by this evening with his 05 TL. His son tried to remove snow with a shovel. (He's only 3 years old). Take a look at this. Can you say touch up paint, wet sanding, compounding, etc... This is going to be a challenge.

I'll help! :smile

Nice work thus far! I'm pretty anxious to try out the PwS as I am looking for a better 1 stepper via rotary. How does it work for you via Metabo?

that interior is phenominal it looks brand new.......good job
did you do the exterior with a buffer or by hand?
not to be picky but this is a detail forum, you could have cleaned the edges around the door handle and excess wax on cracks and crevisess(sp)
the interior is one of the best interiors i have ever seen though, how many miles are on the car?

Hmmm, I thought I mentioned 'I'm still working on it (4 hours so far). I need a break'.

My bad. Is this any better?

Sorry, It's 4am, and the sarcasm is coming right back at ya!

Sean, The TL owner wants an appointment sometime between Jan 6-8th. Are you free? (LOL).

great work on the mommy mover, it looks mint. good luck on the acura. looks like a time consuming job.

hey, would you like me to come over and wipe off the door handles and excess wax. I also I noticed a few spots still remaining on the carpet in rear seating area. Otherwise not bad. he he

GBGTL -Nice Greg. When I pulled it out this morning, there were several spots that needed some #425 and a wipe down.

Sean -I tried PwS via rotary one time and Mr. Sling Monster came out. I'm not sure why either. Since then I've been using the PC or Cyclo.

Here are a few after shots (including one with the door handles wiped down).

It wasn't greg. I am going to review and comment on all your detailing work.

Looks excellent in the sun. I'd still like to give PwS a go with the rozilla. I'm sure we could work out a time with the Acura :). Have him pick up ACURA touch-up (no body shop or anything).

Greg after polishing with the pws what kind of surface was left behind. did it remove minor marring/swirls? nice shine, slickness?

I didnt see much in the lines of defect removal but the vehicle was pretty swirled up. It left a very nice deep shine, and a slick surface.

Greg

I just finished putting some on the subbie and I LOVE IT. it's going to replace AIO for me. JUST KEEP THE ORANGE SMELL PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!

It's very slick and reflecktive as anything very easy to put on and I let it sit for 12 hours before wiping but you can put it on and wipe it off if need be.

yes cleaning ability in minimal and chemical(would be totally pad and machine dependant), and slickness will actually increase if it is allowed to cure for about 36 hours without getting wet:)
