5 cars I would never own

Nick,

Great thread. Lets all remember we are adults and not let our feelings get hurt if someone doesn't like our car. There was a time when I swore I would never own an SUV. WRONG! I have been driving one since 2005. Still don't like it, but is necessary at the time.

jk

It would be easier for me to list the five cars I would purchase instead of trying to choose those I wouldn't care to purchase. Well I try anyway to list what I try to avoid.
1. cars with 4 doors - my kids are grown up and its just me and ma.
2. cars with metal tops - I'm a ragtop guy and in my second childhood.
3. trucks with whimpy motors. trucks should be able to handle whatever chore or payload thrown at them.
4.Hybrids - cars are made to have a throaty, powerfull sound that can be heard a block away.

I guess thats why they make different types of cars for different people.

yeah I never thought Id own a mini van either till I drove one !

I didnt like when my friend told me I looked like a soccer MOm though and immediately changed the wheel covers :D

I still wish I had a cooler looking vehicle but its exactly what I need for detailing.

I would never own a Hummer!

1. Prius
2. Anything Chevy, really. Except for c1,c2, an occasional c3, and c6 vettes :)
Im a ford guy:out:---Well actually im a german/european/italian car guy but I cant afford those right now.
3. Kia
4. Prius
5. Prius

lol, see a common occurrence there? I hate Prius's and 99.99% of there dumb focking owners. Sorry if anyone on here has one. But its the truth especially in California! They think there sh!t doesn't stink and it aggravates me X_X

Well both of my vehicles made people's lists, so pttttt!

My list is:

Smart car (I just want to hit them...)
Prius
H2 or H3 (worthless)
Any of those square cars like Nissan Cube etc.
Pontiac Aztec (ugliest car of all time)

1. ANY 4 door sedan. I may be an old fart, but I don't have to drive an old fart car.

2. Pontiac Aztek

3. Any white or silver car.

4. Chevy Avalanche (look like they're made at a Rubbernaid factory).

5. Pimped out SUVs with huge wheels and low profile tires.

6. Chevy Chevette (Shoveit); Chevy Vega; Yugo

I'm not out trying to save the world, look rich, make up for something or think something is wrong by where it's made. My critia is, safety, good on gas, power and handling, quality of materials and costs to own. That said, there's just some cars that I wouldn't have if they were giving them away:

1. Smart Car - really, what's so F...ing smart about hitting a cat and totaling it
2. Any 3/4 ton, 4 door, 4X4, unless you're using it as a ...gasp TRUCK!
3. Any German car unless you have deep pockets for "scheduled" maintence (anybody want a deal on a 2008 GTI)
4. Hybrids - pricey and complex, rather get a diesel ( wait for the new Madza )
5. Any old 60's / 70's muscle car - ok, regained breathing yet, think I must be high on crack or a commie? NO, I lived through that era, and let me say, those things were fast, but handled like crap, rode like Harley hard-tail and stopped like a fat man with greasy shoes on a ski jump. Put in a car show and then trailer it home.

Any mazda Any honda Any nissan Any toyota Any kia or any derivitive there of, just can't bring myself to own one !!!! Just can,t do it If I were to win one I would either take the money or sell it!!!!!!!

And the reason for not wanting any of the many cars made by any of those manufacturers is...? I'm gonna guess you have a problem with Japanese brands. You stay away from Sony, too?

Nick, just curious as to why a Mazda3 made your list? I'm not offended or anything, but I am curious.

First 5 that popped into my head:
1) Chevy Cobalt (any variant including the SS)
2) Dodge Neon (any variant including the SRT-4)
3) Ford Escort
4) Toyota Prius
5) Toyota Camry
