3M Refresh any good?

I finally bought a bottle just to try it out, haven't got my hands on my buddies car to test it yet but I was wondering if the stuff was any good, I need something to clean vinyl, not just protect it, and I can't find anything in any stores around here.

The first bottle I got, I tried to twist the cap off and boom! it went everywhere, I have it on my hands, all over the shelf and on the floor. I grabbed another bottle and left the isle reaaaaal quick.

There are a couple of threads in the archives I just saw when I searched for it.

Happy reading, sorry I can't offer any experience with the product :(. Let us know how it goes! I need a good inexpensive vinyl cleaner too.

hmmmm.... from the way Ron explains it, the protectant portion of the product is not so great. I was looking to use this product for more of a "cleaner" than a "protectant". I wish it didn't have anything to do with protecting.

I am going to use it on my buddies Audi dash and cover it with 303. On the other half of the dash I am going to use the 3M Refresh to clean the dash, the apply 303 over it, possibly do another section with 3M Refresh, Dawn then 303. See what comes out the best.

Boy does that Audi save my Camaro :-)

I use them and like them..:)

it does seem to clean very well..as for protection, as the stuff is not really glossy (slick but not glossy) I think that's why it can be mistaken as having no protection...but I think it does...

I like it better than Meguiar's vinyl protectant...

and the smell is nice too...:)

it's too shiny for me. i like a more matte finish to my dash, and seeing how mine dash wasn't really dirty, i couldn't tell you if it really cleaned well or not.

My bud has an 1988 Audi 80 Quattro. It's got a dash that was cleaned by layering tons of Armorall on it so this will be a perfect test. All of the grooves on the dash (just the pattern) are caked with gunk and crap. If this stuff works well on his dash then I know it's a good product.

I am more so concerned about cleaning my arm rest with this stuff in my own car. I also hope the 303 layers well.
