wich wax is better in durabillity and silkness?

3m Perfect-It Show Car liquid Wax or N 26 muguiar's wax.

Does , 3m Perfect-It Show Car liquid Wax has any carnauba wax in it?

Iwax my silver european car by hand.

Thank you:bounce

I use the 3M liquid wax and have no complaints either with the application, durability or shine. Never used the Meg's.

3M currently has three waxes (Perfect-IT Show Car Liquid/Paste, and Premium)

Of the three only the Show Car Paste Wax has carnauba in it. Along with another type of wax and ploymers.

HTH

Newly painted as in less than 30 days. I think not as the bottle is not labeled for Autobody Shop approved. In fact as far as I can tell none of thier waxes are. 3M sells glazes for that.

3Ms show car paste wax is great. I had great durability with it when I used it and really nice slickness. I haven't used their liquid wax as I don't really like liquids. Just personal preference. The paste I apply really thin. Goes on really smooth and comes off really easily.

I have a red car and megs #26 works well on it. It's slick and its surpsingly very durable. But I don't know how it would do on other colors as it deepens and darkens the color more then adding reflection, but thats how I like my reds.

I don't like Meg's 26 on silver cars. It darkens the silver color too much.

That's what I was thinking too.

Groucho- If you're talking about a repaint, I'd wait at least a month (and I always wait at least 90 days) before applying any wax. Just use something like Meg's #5/#3/#7/#81/Deep Crystal Step #2 or 3M IHG until the paint has cured. I greatly prefer the Meg's products over the IHG, BTW.

Nothing I've ever used does a silver car justice like Meg's #16. I haven't been happy with #26 as a replacement. The only negative with #16 is it's very hard to get. The problem with most of the new waxes is they emphasize depth of shine over gloss and with silver you don't have depth so you have to go for a wax that gives you the most gloss.
