3M Moderate Strengh Cleaner Wax

This may surprise some of you, but Ive been very effective from time to time, with a hand applicaiton of this product, for removing scratches that #9, for instance, wouldnt tough....

applying with moderate to strong pressure, by hand, back and forth, I ve been able to get out many bothersome scratches without doing any damage....And, as an added plus, when youre done, youve also applied some protection til your next overall wax. Try it this way....It expands your arsenal.

Hi, Paul -

I've no doubt you've been effective with this. here are lots of "cleaner/waxes" - Klasse AIO is another good one.

However I think you'll find most of us have gravitated to single-purpose products. I don't use a clener wax, because the filling properties of the wax make it impossible for me to see how effectively I've dealt with the swirls. did I remove them, or just fill them?

If I WANT to fill them - then why risk introducing haze through abrasion - just wax - or for a little deeper swirls, precede the wax with a glaze or polish. If I WANT to get rid of swirls and really SEE what I'm doing I use FI-II. I follow up with Meguiar's SMR - which will polish out any remaining haze, and fills at the same time. There - I just contradicted myself - Meguiar's SMR is a dual purpose product. :nixweiss

Oh well.....

In the end, if you like it and it works for you - use it!
