3M and Meguiar's?

Has the acquisition of Meguiar's by 3M had anything to do with the new products released by Meguiar's in the past several months?
Meguiar's has always played around with new stuff in the consumer line, but it seems like the professional line received a lot more attention in the recent past.

From what i understood from Mike Phillips when we met at Detail Fest nothing has changed .I guess it was easier for 3M to buy Megs then trying to compete with them.

There are a lot of companies with cash buying other companies (3M, Lake Country, etc).
