Barry went out of his way to have the machine overnighted just so everyone can have a sneak peak. While others choose to complain about what info has been released, I want to say thank you to Barry.

its not a complaint, its just hard to believe no one has the specs, it seems as though the specs will show its not as powerful or more powerful than whats out there already. its not as if they cant email the info. no pont of selling something that is the same with a new name, then again most products are relabeled and sell cause people want to try something that someone else claims is so great

Why would it be hard to believe? Tunch is in Turkey/China, Juan is in China, and as soon as they are back in the office tuesday PM or wednesday AM they will give one of us the specs to post and on the website as well. Can you please wait a few days?:rockon::rockon:

Its hard to believe cause its hard to believe. I guess there is no email or internet service in china/turkey, Nobody has any warranty info either, I have yet to see a large company sell a product unable to provide any info on it, doesnt seem like a smart business decision

David, I think the issue is mainly that Ben said in that thread the information posted was a preliminary version and that the packaging/etc. had been revised since. If someone can confirm those are in fact the final and accurate numbers it would clear up any confusion (I think that's what Thomas is saying will have to wait until Tuesday/Wednesday).

Regardless, I think real-world testing is what will tell the most important part of the story and obviously, it's too soon for that yet.

I guess thats why it took so long to post the specs, they are no different than any of the other offerings out there, is there a lifetime warranty, seems to just be re badged

I can't understand why people are dwelling on this "issue". The numbers have never changed. The only thing that did was a print error about it being a forced rotation which has been publically corrected multiple times. For the upteenth time.....it's not a forced rotation.

The specs that I posted are the specs. the machine has not changed. If it has, then I will post a formal apology.

Ryan - I have a couple suggestions that may tame your obvious displeasure for 3D/HD you've shown in pretty much all of your posts since joining.....

1) Read and digest this thread: http://www.autopia.org/forum/car-detailing/141086-introducing-hds-new-da-polisher-kit.html It talks about the specs and compares them to other market offerings. It touches on alot of what you've had uncertainty on.

2) Maryland isn't that far away from Barry Theal's shop. If you'd like to take a trip and test any 3D/HD products or supplies before buying them, I'm sure Barry would gladly assist with anything you need to validate your purchase. He has an endless supply of vehicles ranging in all kinds of conditions that you could use are your testbed that I'm sure could pacify your aprehensions. I will also see to it that he gives you samples of anything in the line you'd like to try.

If there is anything else you'd like to know either PM me or call 3D directly. They are there to help.

This I can tell you. I have owned every DA out there availible in the US that is marketed to detailing. The Flex, PC7424,PC7242XP,Griots,SUREHOLD andthe g110. This machine is not rebadged from any of them. I will also send an invite for you to come to my shop anytime and play with it, or any other detail chemicals from 3D. We have plenty of there products here. Your more then welcome to have some fun for a few hours!

I dont have any displeasure for 3D/HD products, I am actually pleased with most of the HD products I own. I just didn't understand the reluctance to post the specs considering all the claims that is better than whats currently on the market. Im still confused as to why the product support specialist didn't have the information available. I was only trying to make and informed decision before buying a product, I no longer buy products based of others claims as I learned they are usually biased. I wanted to be able to compare specs to specs, thats all

So this machine is just a little under the Griot's in terms of power, not too bad. Interested in warranty info as well.

Barry has some huge cajones, because the last time i had a pad on a machine at that high of speed without pressure on it, it exploded into pieces across my garage.

This is looking promising. I like my griots, but i destoryed the spindle and am not too pleased about their disdain for detailers using their machine (removing professional from the name? Come on!)

Should be headed back to Maryland within the next month or so. I have a new 3D machine on its way if you want to come play with it and some of the 3d stuff let me know. :)

David, if I tell you that I'm displeased with 3D, can I get an invite to play with some cool toys too? If that's what it takes then I too am displeased with 3D's offerings. And what can I get if I said that all of 3D's products stunk? :D

(Don't anyone take my post too serious.)

Just so we can put this issue to rest once & for all for the last time…..

Well that’s nice to know and your support I’m sure is appreciated, but looking at your 14 posts at face value, all but 1 of them were being critical/negative of 3D? I know things can come across different when they’re expressed though writing (especially on an internet forum), so moving forward you might want to consider this when devising your message. Especially when you seem to be a satisfied 3D customer.

I don’t think I’d coin it reluctance. I would say it’s more about being cautious and accurate with the information that has been shared. But remember, my preliminary thread several weeks ago shared all the specs. And prior to posting it I spent quite a bit of time with Tunch testing this machine and discussing different approaches to marketing it so I would like to say that I am differently versed in some of the information given. Since this, Tunch has been traveling to 2 different states and 3 (if not 4 by now) countries so I would imagine that he’s been pressed for time to brief his staff on all the ins and outs of this issue. The time zone alignment I know has been a huge challenge.

I don’t quite see where anyone has claimed the 3D polisher to be “better” then what’s on the market. I know I haven’t. I will say that it is certainly different then other offerings in many positive ways.

And I don’t blame you for attempting to make that educated decision and actually applaud your effort for doing so. I hope you’ll consider mine and Barry Theal’s offer to test out and sample any products you’d like. And speaking of which, I’d like to extend that invitation to ANYONE (even Erik Mejia :) )interested in doing this at either Barry Theal’s location in Manheim, Pennsylvania or in California at 3D’s world headquarters in Santa Clarita.
