Somebody wants to charge me $50 to put on this stuff on my silver car. Has anyone had experience with this product? How long does it last? How well does it hide swirls and scratches?

I'm sure it's not a "bad" wax, but if the guy doesn't have anything else to offer you as far as protection goes, I'd find another detailer. It's more of an "entry level" "quick wax" AFAIK, so I wouldn't expect too much from it.

Even if it does hide swirls, its not going to last very long and I highly doubt it will do anything for scratches.

3D Express Wax is a liquid Carnauba wax. It is a quick wax. That is why it is called "Express". Mostly popular in Full service Car-washes when people are in a hurry. Or can be used as a in-between wax. If you had a major detailing done on your car or you have a brand new car then 3D Express Wax will prolong the look. Any wax is good idea to apply to cars. This may vary how many miles you use, kept in a garage or weather conditions. $50 to apply? Well a good hand wash is about $20 so another $30 is your call. But I have seen some car-washes do it for $29.99. In any event waxing a car 3 times a year is not a bad idea. After-all say in 3 years you spend $300- $400 to maintain that great look... I think it is wort-it.

Yeah, I actually have Opti-Coat on my car, but it's picked up quite a bit of swirls and light scratches. So I want to add something on top just to hide the damage. Would the 3D Express Wax do the job or should I find someone who will use a more "traditional" wax (or even sealant)?

Yes 3D Express Wax will hide the scratches. But if you want something longer term and superior gloss, then you should try HD Poxy. Don't take my word for it. Try searching the forum. It is the best sealant I have ever used. Try to search it under HDPOXY or HD Poxy. You will love it.

I guess it has because it says "we use natural waxes". Well carnauba is a natural wax?

Is 3D Express Wax safe on rubber and plastic trim?

Yes it is safe. However we do not encourage detailers to spray directly on to the rubber. But you do not have to worry the over spray as 3D express wax will wipe-off easily without leaving white residue. With regards to the plastic trims and black metal trims; 3D Express wax will give a nice gloss and once wiped it will be dry to the touch.
