357 Day Review - PBL coating

Ronkh

Wax Waster
It's been about a year since I coated it. Sits outside 24/7 in HOT FL sun. Has sat at airport (top level garage so open) about 10 times for a week at a time. 25k + miles since coated. Rarely washed. Been through touchless a few times and probably been 2bm washed 4 times (if that).. FL is home to tons of bugs and sand, so it's been a tough year for it.

Foamed w ironx snow foam, washed w strong dilution of reset.

Hood/top looked a touch weak, but still going reasonably strong.

Sides, still going STRONG

So all in all, it's been a neglected year in TERRIBLE environment and it's still protected.

So when done w wash, hit it w hydro and dried

Does it's job well. Easy to use. Good value

Nice long term results! I'm looking forward to using PBL once the warmer weather arrives.

Very cool to see we've had pretty much identical results with similar weather here in FL. I always check the UV rating index on the weather report and most of the year we have 11 of 11 (extreme UV rating) so you're right. FL is not the nicest state for waxes/sealants/coatings.

I was impressed

Nice update. I have read of others not getting a lot of durability with PBL. Good to see that this has worked out very well in this case.

Ron, I never did a paint coating. Could you kinda explain how you prepped the paint before applying and how you applied it? Did you have to use their prep product?
Is this something that I can do to any of my well maintained vehicles. 2010 Ford Edge and 02 Explorer?

Thanks

For you? You know when a vehicle is good. so IMHO, for you, just hit it with their coating prep, which cleans off and old product, fillers, oils etc, then just coat it.

This one really is kinda fool(ron)proof, apply to panel, wait a few secs, wipe with micro to make sure it's level, move on and repeat till entire vehicle is done.
Make sure it stays dry for 4+ hours, do not drool on it. Enjoy it.
