Got rid of my 350Z and bought a CTS-V. The V is a 2005 and had 4542 miles when I got it (major garage queen) last month.

Here are my first pics after clay, Z-PC, Z-2 (X2), Z8 and today, S100.

Enjoy!

Mike

Looks nice! What made you get rid of your 350Z?

because it is a 4 door vette

The four-door, rear-wheel-drive CTS-V has the overhead valve 5.7L V-8 LS6 engine producing 400 horsepower (298 kw) and 395 lb.-ft. (533 Nm) of torque. It makes 0-60 mph in 4.6 seconds and has a top speed of 163 mph (262 km).

And it's darn good lookin', too. Grats on the new ride!

I live right next to a highway that has lots of stop lights and a 60 mph speed limit. I don't speed, and I don't street race. But I'm not against 0-60 jaunts from the stop lights on my highway. About two weeks ago, I found myself stopped next to a brand new 08 CTS-V. The new, supercharged one. He made it obvious he wanted to see what it would do against my yellow superbee. He had me by about 1.5 car lengths when I hit sixty (and subsequently stopped accelerating). I haven't had a chance to go against a CTS-V from your year. Should be neck and neck, though; very similar power to weight ratios, total HP and torque, etc.

Very nice ride, enjoy it!

Ehhh....the new V isn't even out yet:think:

Congrats on the V MSO

Nice cars, my 24 year old nephew has an 04, his is a stick (6sp) not sure I could like a caddy with a stick, I think the newer models went to autos, didnt they?

Killer Detail too.

No, the upcomming V will have a 6 speed manual still but also an auto/manual trans. The regular CTS (new) still offers a manual trans as well. The V's drive great, put it this way I personally thought the V drove/handled better then the E46 M3, E39 M5 and I also almost bought an E39 M5. And way easier to mod then either. Actually I should say the M3 and it were about the same, it was more so the M5 that it beat all around except the M5 had the edge in interior.

This car is SO much faster than my 350Z. The Ls6 engine is a Corvette Z06 engine. All 2004-2007 Vs are 6 spd. manuals.

The 09 V will have 550+ horsepower and 550+ lb/ft of torque...talk about a screamer! It will be available either with a 6 spd. manual or paddle shifters.

Love this car!

Hmm. Wonder if it was an aftermarket supercharger kit, then. On the lower right corner of the trunk (which I got a good view of, since he flat out beat me), it said "CTS" and then underneath, "Supercharged".

Edit: Just looked at the pictures of the new model. The one that beat me was not that body style. It was the previous model. The new model also doesn't have a "supercharged" badge on the trunk, either. Looks like I came across a modded earlier model, and it was *fast*.

Yo...the previous owners didn't go anywhere LOL. 4542 Miles....on a...4.5 yr old car OMG B you got lucky...I personally drive about....600 miles a month personally. I bought my Altima new with 181 miles on it. I have about ~6600 miles on it and it is 9.5 months old. Had a hurricane evacuation, and with my sister and a friend of mine driving my car...my car doesn't move that much. I probably drive 5000-7000 a year MAYBE. I work and goto school alot and both are very close to my home LOL. Congrats keep that paint poppin B.
