First two were one steps at that office. I decided to use Vanilla Moose v2 (the new version I have to test, I assume this will be the new VM formula pretty soon) as Everett assured me I can use it as a one step and expect up to 90 days protection. I seem to wax these two every 45-60 days so I'll see how it holds up on them. VM2 did a real nice job on the light to moderate water spots on the 325 and seems to work well on light swirls too.

Vanilla Moose v2 with a Lake Country polishing pad on both.

2003 Lexus LX470. The paint was in really good shape for an SUV that sits outside (their SC430 and 1966 Impala get the garage) so I used VM2 with a Lake Country polishing pad and Meguiars #16. I thought about using 845 since it is so durable but #16 is no slouch and has less initial dust attraction (prior to first washing) and like I said, this one sits outside.

Full sun shot kind of kills the gloss on the first pic....

==============

2001 BMW 330ci. 2nd owner, first owner must have used the coin up brushes pretty regularly. Pretty scuffed in a few areas. Really bad on the driver's door and rear quarter, I ended up using Clearkote Compound and a Meguiars polishing pad on those areas. I then used Optimum Polish with a Meguiars polishing pad on the whole car, followed by VM2 and a Lake Country polishing pad, and finished with Poorboy's Natty's Blue.

...and yes, I did remove the license plate. I am tired of tearing up pads on the 3's back end.

Great work on some nice cars! That Dakota looks incredible for a 1-step too! But you can never go wrong with a nice 3 series BMW!

I really like the BMW 330ci and the car looks wonderful after what you have done to the car. One of these day I got to try out the Clearkote products especially VM2 and RMG.

Man, that's a lot of black paint! I bet you were happy to see the White Lexus (LOL).

They all turned out great. Nice job!

How does VM2 cut (scale 1 - 10). I would give VM a 1. Is VM2 watery like VM? I still keep VM on my shelf and use it from time to time. It's one of those products that I like to keep around.

WOW scott great work...you do an amazing job on black....as you should being a owner of a black car. :buffing:

Scott,

How many hours you spend on that LX470?

It was a full detail, took about 5.5 hours. The interior was pretty decent as was the paint. Glad their only kid is an adult or the interior could have looked like a landfill.

mgm121499-if you use VM with a polishing pad, crank it up to 6 and use a little pressure, I'd rate it about a 2-2.5 on a scale of 10. The new VM seems a touch more aggressive, maybe a 2.5-3. The consistancy is similar, maybe not as watery and the color is whiter. I haven't noticed it seperating either.
