With the heat and FL sun, after the first few passes, the other polishes were pretty much dust, and we used PB SSR's. It gave us the results we wanted and laughed at the sun/heat

Flex
Rupes
Griots
Ang's rotary

Assorted pads

We also gave it a bath after polishing - PB SSS in foam gun, ad 2 bm w PB SSS
CarPro Eraser

Thanks. It was fun. Ang and Steve are great playmates :)

I was surprised at how soft the paint was. until we dialed in the pads and polish, it was very easy leave halos with the buffers and and even scratches when removing the polish with microfiber towels. there was a constant process of moving the vette into the sunlight to see any defects and back into the garage to work. I picked up a lot of good info from angelo and ron.
I used my griot's 3" da for the smaller areas, but soon learned that the megs mf finishing pad generated too much heat for the work we were doing and switched back to a wht.lc foam pad. I was truly shocked when I got to use ron's rupes mini, what an awesome machine, extremely smooth, with very little vibration compared to my griot's. all the final finish work was done with the rupes mini and ron's flex da. angelo switched between his Makita rotary and the da's without batting an eye.( tons of experience makes it look easy)
the guys definitely wouldn't accept any results that weren't excellent. hard work, but lots of fun too.:rockon

Buffing outside garage, in garage, outside....

uhhhhhhh

Great job. You guys are brave for working in direct sunlight. I never have luck with the Florida sun and polishing. I can see why you did it though. Looking great!
