1. What is the easiest way to take letters off the trunk from the place that I bought the car from? I was reading that heating up the vinyl first and scrap off. I don’t have a heat gun.



2. On the clear plastic cover that covers the gauge cluster has something smeared all over it. I don’t want to scratch it up. What should I use to try to clean it? I tried glass cleaner and it didn’t help at all.



3. The wheels have a lot of curb rash on it. Is there something that I can do to smooth the back out so it doesn’t look so bad?
 
Any kind of plastic cleaner would work on the gauge cluster. Klasse AIO is also good for that. Just make sure you use a very soft microfiber cloth. Those things scratch very easily!



The letters on my car just peeled right off. It was a pretty hot day and I had no trouble removing them at all. You could try a hair dryer, I guess. Just heat it up a little and see if you can get them to start to peel.
 
I would try a hair dry to remove the lettering.



As for the plastic - there are special plastic polishes one can use. I definitely would not use Windex on it - as it can cloud clear plastic.

1) I'd soften the adhesive with a solvent. I like 3M Adhesive Remover (see your local autobodly/paint supply store, it's great stuff to have around) but Goo-Gone/etc. oughta work too. You can try flossing it off, yeah, regular waxed dental floss- work the floss (gently) between the paint and the emblem.



2) Hard to say without knowing what the problem is. Something like Plexus or Meguiar's Plastic-X or Griot's Plastic Polish, but it's hard to know what'll be safe and what'll cause marring :nixweiss



3) You could try sanding it and using paint made for wheels, but that's never worked very well for me. I take them to my Audi/Porsche dealer; if they can do a quick touchup they do that, otherwise they send them out to the wheel repair place they use (no, I can't remember what that costs, but it can't be much otherwise I *would* remember).
