Hey guys, this is my first click & brag so please go easy! This Torrent belongs to a friend's wife. They have 3 young boys, so this thing is a kid-hauler through and through. I did an interior for them once before on a Honda Pilot belonging to his in-laws, so I've seen what these kids are capable of. Hardened wax in door pockets, toys in every corner of the car, etc. This Torrent was probably a bit worse since it's their everyday car.
One thing he pointed out was some of that colored Slime we all used to play with as kids, that had melted into the carpet and actually burned the carpet fibers. First of all, I can't believe they still make that stuff. Second of all, does anyone have a clue how to handle something like that? Tried covering it with a towel and taking an iron to it, but no luck. Also, this car didn't come with floormats, so don't ask where they are. :nixweiss
Here's a pic from the driver side
Passenger
The passenger seat had what I thought was some white stain on it. Once I started cleaning it, I saw backwards print on the seat. Turns out something spilled on a magazine and transferred the print to the leather.
Here you can see the melted Slime burns. Ugh.
Hatch area- the wheel humps are dirty from red clay, but also scratched and scuffed. The hatch carpet had tons of dog hair, too.

Process:
Interior:
Megs APC+ 10:1 on just about every surface in this car. Doors, leather, pedals, dash and carpets. Tried some SCG Dash Away, but it didn't have enough muscle to make a dent on anything. I'm getting the feeling this stuff, while smelling great, is nothing more than a weak APC at best. If it has some UV protection, please let me know. Otherwise, once it runs out, I'm done with it.
ONR at QD strength for cup holders, console pockets, inside the larger dash vents on the sides. On a Q-tip around shifter and parking brake areas.
Megs 40 on dash, door vinyl, and all the plastic in the rear hatch. It did a decent job at filling in some of the scuffs on those wheel humps.
PB S&W on the door jambs
SCG Clearly Better on interior windows and rearview mirror. This was an interior only, plus it was raining as I was finishing up so I couldn't get the outside glass.
Carpet:
Vac
Brush
Vac again
Spray APC 10:1
Agitate, then LGM to extract
Vac again
This was the catch tank after just the rear hatch and half the backseat carpets.
Afters
Driver side
Passenger side
Passenger seat-those are drops of water on the side dash, it was still sprinkling at this point.
Hatch
Rear seats-You can still see all the melted gunk on both sides
Thanks for looking. I'm open to any suggestions, criticism, etc. I know some of my pics are a bit washed out, especially the hatch afters. Sorry, I have a point-and-shoot that I never really learned how to use outside of Auto mode so I couldn't help that. Also, there was a spot between the backs of the rear seats and the hatch area that had to be accessed by folding the seats down and sliding them forward. While I didn't get pictures, I treated it to the same carpet treatment as the rest of the car. Overall time was about 6.5 hours, mostly because there was a ton(measured) of loose sand in the carpets and I had to brush A LOT then vac A LOT as well. And if I forgot anything, I apologize. It's been over a week and the years have poked holes all through my short-term memory.
