Screw it, Mez. If the stuff's good, it's time to say so.



One thing no one's mentioned: THERE IS NOT A SINGLE OTHER PRODUCT THAT HAS PRODUCED ZEALOTS.



I'm not a Z user, but I believe that I have to respect tht fact. And, I have friends who swear by it, and their cars look GREAT.



The cars don't know what was used on them; they just shine. All the words are BS.

There is nothing wrong with finding a product you like and sharing your results with everyone. If it makes you happy and you love the look what better place to share it than with others that can appreciate it such as the folks here on Autopia.



What kills me with the Zaino crowd (especially on the f-body forums) is their close mindedness. Now before the flame starts understand this is a GENERALIZATION...it by no means encompasses every Zaino user (i.e. I am of Sicilian descent...that does not mean Tony Soprano is my Uncle). In fact..I think it is a vocal minority that is hurting the typical Zaino user. If you go to any of the car specific forums (and I can only speak about the camaro/firebird forums) you will flat out be trashed if you post a picture of a car detailed with anything other than Zaino. I would read responses to my posts with such ignorant comments as "Meguiar's is a cheap product"; "I can't believe that they let you detail their car with that"; "You obviously don't know what your doing"....yet if I posted the same picture and said I used Zaino...my...how the glowing praises would be showered upon me.



Now I can totally understand being brand loyal...their is nothing wrong with that. Hell...I'm a HUGE Meg's fan...I love the stuff BUT and it is a big but (no pun intended:D ) I love trying different products. I am brand loyal but I would never shun another brand of product just because it wasn't Meguiar's. If the person is passionate about detailing I don't give a crap what they use...they are A.O.K. in my book. A Zaino Zealot will see you are not using Zaino then proceed to tell you how sh*tty your detail looks. That is the reason why you see so many people turn against Zaino. The vocal close minded idiots are giving a very good product a very bad rap.



I ask you this....when was the last time you saw someone using Meg's #26...or P21S...or Klasse SG do that???
 
I just personally hope that, over time, these people don't end up giving Zaino a bad rap because of their holier-than-thou attitudes towards detailing. Sal is a TOP NOTCH guy, and his customer service is next to none, and let's face it...Zaino WORKS, and is an awesome product.



I think it goes both ways. For someone to say they refuse to try Zaino because of the outspoken Zealots is just as bad as using Zaino and refusing to try anything else.



It would be a shame for Sal and his products to end up being shunned because of the recent, seemingly exponential growth of users who REFUSE anything "less than" Zaino. :sosad
 
I'll say that I don't use it because I don't need to. I get the results I want from almost anything I use, and I don't want to be tied to a system that won't let me use what I want, when I want. Someday I'm sure I'll try it, but I really think that those who SEEK Z are those who feel that something is missing, and I don't feel that.
