For those who do not understand the "meaning" of Elkhart Lake and what it has to do with the color blue on Corvettes, it is the resort town in east-central Wisconsin about 30 miles west of Sheboygan AND the location for the road racing track of Road America. Cannot say the color of the said lake water is that blue hue, and yes, I have swum in it once. But it is a nice gesture on GM's part. The town and the race track have such good rapore and symbiosis and for good reason: sports car racing started in the town streets in the early 1950's, like a Midwest Monaco. The track was built to address safety concerns about racing on the village street I think in 1955. It's a beautiful track, and yes, I have been on it in as a guest passenger by someone who paid to drive on it as a "touring session" during the Vintage Racing event in about 1985. Fun times, but no high-speed driving, which was somewhat disappointing . Great track to watch road racing from, even if it is large venue. My favorite spot is in the paddock side fence along the long straight before turn 5, fastest part of the track. Feeling the wind from twenty -five tightly bunched 190 MPH Indy cars on the first lap of the race going by only 15 feet from your person is like being in a short-lived man-made CAT 5 hurricane!!

Oh yeah, forgot to mention how good that Corvette looks, Merlin!!
REALLY like that particular hue of blue, even if it has been said, "All Corvettes are red; the rest are color mistakes" or something like that.
