2019 Hyundai Kona protected by Modesta

Previous client just purchased this and wanted it protected before going to Arizona for the winter. I must admit I really like the color combination! What I did find strange was the only defects to speak of were factory sand marks on the bumper covers only? Not touched by the dealership other than removal of shipping wrap. One step polishing done with Griot’s perfecting cream on an orange correcting pad using the G15 at speed 3-4. Bumpers done with the same combo using the GG6 with a 3 inch pad. Paint coated with BC08 after Modesta Primer. Wheels with BC08, tires with Griot’s black satin. Trim with Modesta trim coating. Glass coated with IGL glass. Thank you for looking!

Great color...the flake is exploding now. Interesting about the factory marks only on the bumper covers. But better than the whole car! Well done.

Did you measure the paint thickness anywhere on this vehicle, and if so, what did you find??


Kind of off topic, but what did you think of this small SUV offering from Hyundai as compared to a Subaru CrossTrek , Buick Encore, Honda HR-V, or Ford EcoSport??

The paint was in the 4.5-5.2 range, the roof was in the 6.5-7 range as it was painted after the red. I really liked it, fit and finish is on par with most everything else in the same class.
