A Miracle Detailing
2017 Corvette Z06 - Racing Yellow - CQuartz FINEST

This is the third CQF vehicle I have done for this client.
Ordered brand new - I told him do not let the dealership wash your car.
He stated to me that it was a struggle...four different folks tried to wash it!
It makes a huge difference when the dealership does not rub their rags on the paint.

The End

Gotta love CQuartz Finest!
CQF gives a plain yellow paint (no metallic or pearl) a clarity, sparkle and brilliant, crisp, glossy, shine that can make you go snow blind!

Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm :D

What polisher/pad/size etc did you use on the hood with the curves and valleys?

Rather than mess around with a 3" Backing plate on a 6" DA machine...
I borrowed a friends Rupes mini...It worked great. I fell in love!
Next week I`m headed to SEMA...gonna get me one there!
Hopefully, I`ll get a "show price" and bring it home with me.

Thank you. Mini it is for me then. Love my mini.

I don`t know what I like more, the yellow C7 or your driveway. That is cool!

Ok, I`d take the corvette. Looks awesome in "plain" yellow. I`d like to see a metallic yellow C7. Still not a lot of C7`s on the road in northern WI.

Beautiful Merlin !!!!!

Thank you! The shine was truly amazing in person.

Due to minimal DISO I was able to spend more time on the polishing rather than correction.
This jeweling "extra time" made a huge difference in the gloss and sharpness of the paint.

I coated the wheels with CQF and when he drove it away the wheels "sparkled" as they turned.

It was a beautiful thing to watch!

That is just super amazing work.

Can you explain jeweling to me and what machines, pads a and process is necessary to make it happen.

Thanks

Thank you.

For me "jeweling" is a term for a slow polishing process using a ultra soft pad and a nano ultra fine diminishing polish.
"Jeweling" for me is a process above and beyond the correction (swirls etc.) then polish (haze removal) stages.
Again, for me, the "jeweling" step creates extra clarity and shine beyond what is achieved with the polishing stage.

Here is a link to an old article (2011) from Todd Helme with his version of http://www.autopia.org/forums/the-d...are-com/31120-jewel-paint-ultimate-shine.html

You can have your driveway and your C7. I take the 57:)

That car is awesome. The 57 will continue to rise in value. They look better every time I see one.

The first sentence of your post says it all about your work.

This is the third CQF vehicle I have done for this client.

Repeat business is about the best compliment you can get. Awesome job Merlin!!
