Fantastic job.
I have just finished reading your review of Carpro Essence and wondering why you did not use Carpro?
Have you moved on and have a new favorite?
Thank you! It was a fun car to do.
___________
I like Essence for a final polish before applying a coating.
In short, it does three things I like.
1) It contains a fine polish (Reflect) to add brilliance and gloss to the paint after correction.
2) It contains a specialized filler to assist in visually "leveling" (remaining) minor swirls.
(Although it is a filler (of sorts) I know they will stay visually gone after applying CQuartz.)
3) It contains a bonding material that makes it unnecessary to strip (Eraser/IPA) polishes.
(this bonding/primer ability #3 saves me time and I don`t have to worry about polish residue)
Essence is a great polish to use when you are going to apply a ceramic coating.

Now for your second question...Have I moved on. Short answer No. I still like Essence and use it regularly.
If there is anything I have learned in all the time I have spent polishing paint...it is that every car/paint is different.
Another factor is the environment. It has a lot to do with pads and products that I`m using. (Temp, humidity etc.)
My "test spot" is my determining factor for the particular paint I`m working on. I grab a pad/polish and try it.
If it works then I may stop there. If not, I try another pad/product combo until until I find what works best on that paint.
Sadly, another thing I have learned in all the time I have spent polishing paint...there is no "one size fits all" pad/polish combo.
Thanks for asking...
