2011 Targa 4S

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
I have (7) fleet vehicles at work, and I do not purchase premium detailing products to maintain these work vehicles (Ford F-250). I tried a new product this week from Armour All that cleaned and protected the dash and the vinyl interior surfaces all in one step. After buffing out the product I must admit the trucks looked pretty darn good. Hey Armor All does receive its fair share of bashing from most detailers, but in this application I found the product to deliver the results I wanted !

I bought this product at Walmart, but I cannot find any info about it on the web. The Armour All website doesn't even mention this product.

Hello Clean Dean! I know Ron has once talked about a safe Armor-All, so could this be the new version? I have a few questions…

1.) Is it greasy? Do your hands feel slimy after using them? Did it leave the dash greasy?
2.) Is it a thin, milky-white liquid? Most quality <strong class='bbc'>PDMS[/b]ilicone dressings such as 303 are.
3.) How shiny is it?
4.) Is it water-soluble? Have you tried mixing it with water? I believe most PDMS dressings are, and can be diluted with water for a lower sheen.

Thanks!

The product is not greasy at all, dries completely and doesn't give the artficially shine usually associated with Armor All's other protectants. I'll post the name a little later I have to get the bottle. It is definitely thinner than the usual protectant. I was inpressed in the way it cleaned. I wish I had before and afters, but I had no reason to believe I would have been impressed with this product. A nice surprise. It smells very clean and lemon like. I'll post the name ASAP.

Ever try 3M Refresh? I have used it on a 1988 Audi and my friend told me his door looked "restored" or "brand new".

If you can buy that stuff in a gallon size it is great. It is 85% a cleaner and 15% a shine/protectant.

Is it Armour Alls Vinyl & Leather cockpit spray, its in a 500 ml bottle, and is milky white in colour???

If so then you are using the same one as me. I have found it excellent on the dash on the cars.

Sounds like the 3M product. I believe that the bottle od Ultimate Clean was $4.79 in Walmart. I saw the same bottle in R&S Stauss for 7.99. Some mark up !!!! It' s refreshing to see AA come out with a great product !:xyxthumbs

Finished what I started. Last weekend washed and clayed car. Polished black border surround on the Targa roof with Menzerna Super Finish and Lake Country white pad. Applied Menzerna Power Lock with Porter Cable and red pad. Today washed and applied coat of Swissvax Concorso. No sun but snapped few pictures anyway. Looked great with just PL, adding Concorso definitely improved depth, warmth and I like the look better. Even the wife commented.

Looks Great! Nice job:notworthy::notworthy:

Only nit-pik - there should be a rule that at least one photo has to show the entire car.

Very nice photographs! What type of camera are you using?!

Thank you, I use Canon 50D with Canon lenses, here are a few interior shots of the Targa taken with same camera. Appreciate the positive comment, on another forum someone suggested, "and you probably need to buy a DSLR with awesome lenses", Stop.
