Brand new 2011 Bentley Continental GTC , has an 12W engine , around 550hp , color Artica white.

The car is garage and weekly wash. In this case I use onr in quick detailer dilution assist by a thick microfiber towel to wipe down the paint.

After quick detailer wipe I claybar the car by using an fine grade claybar and onr in quick detailer dilution. After each ½ panel I inspect the clay and mold it to a clean surface.

The next step was prep for correction by tape chrome trims , rubber trims and badges.

Once the car was prepared for correction I inspect the car with halogen light to get familiar with what type of defects I have to deal with . initial condition of the vehicle:

Pass door

Pass door was chosen for test spot. After I try multiple pad , polish combination the winner was 1 step with mezerna SIP ( super intensive polish) on LC light green cutting pad with flex da. The correction was done in speed 6 and after that few more passes with speed 5 and light /no pressure.

The test spot was wipe down with ipa ( 50/50 alchool and water) and inspected under halogen lights:

Most of the correction was done with main light off and assist by halogen light.

A close up after correction:

The wheels were clean just light dust , a microfiber towel and optimum car wax took care of that. On the tires I use meguiar`s m40 and a soft sponge to apply it.

The front of the car was clear bra , after wash was protected with rejeX apply with a foam applicator pad.

The whole paint was protected with 2 coats of duragloss 105 .

Enjoy the after shots , thank you for made it all the way here:

Are you sure that is a 2011? I think that is a 2010.5. The face-lifted GT/GTC is 2011+.

i am sure dealer sell it under 2011 and $200k+

i gogle few images , but nothing as a major facelift for 2011

Great work!

Why did you put masking tape in the door gaps? In the gap between the door and front fender and the door and quarter panel. I never understood that.

I'm gonna do my first polish attempt soon and I'd like to know why this is done.

Thanks and good luck!

tape... depends what are u working on , what machine polish u use...few examples:

if i use meg 105 for heavy correction than i may tape some big gaps between panels to keep the dust away , also i may tape some edges and panels that are not lineup with the other panels - protect them from burn.

when i do correction and deal with chrome trims , rubber trims i tape them. better that than sorry later.

when i deal with clear bra i tape the edge

....this are just a few.
