2010 Porsche GT3 in Guards Red (Clear-bra install, Spoiler repair & Detail) by UCC

That looks really good.

The flat black front lip looks really good too. Some owners have painted theirs to match body color, but flat black can be repaired quickly and easily.

I've taken my 997 to the track a couple times in the last season and although I had a lot of bugs accumulated, there were no stone chips. I believe the paint is extremely durable.

dsms- Thanks a lot Dave!

I was very happy with the way the spoiler came out in the end, but can't take credit for the clear-bra install. I have an installer that I've been using for years that does all my installs for me. There are a lot of hacks out there, but the guy I use is unbelievable. I'm thinking about going to training for it next summer if all goes well. I think it would be a nice addition to my business.

Have you been staying busy?

dmw2692004- Thank you very much!

artikxscout- Thanks! :)

The name of the product is SEM Color Coat and the color name is Landau Black (it's a satin finish).

vtec92civic- I work for Boston University full time during the day (6am to 2pm) and detail evenings (3pm to 8:30 or so) every weekday and usually all day on Saturday, sometimes even a few hours on Sunday. It's a lot of work, but I've been doing it for so long that I'm used to it.

I'll never get rich working at BU, but the hours, benefits, retirement and vacation time makes it worth it. I love detailing, but don't know if I could do it 70+ hours a week.

I'm getting old :), so I'm definitely starting to have a few issues with my body (back, knees, shoulders), which is why I do it "part time". Plus, working a million hours/week makes for a great relationship! She can never get sick of me, because she barely see's me!! haha...

Bigpoppa3346- Thanks a lot!

It definitely makes a huge difference. Let me know if you have any questions when you are ready to do it...

d00t- Thanks buddy!

jeteast99- Thanks! Definitely one of my favorite cars for sure! Someday...:)

the_invisible- Thanks! Any pics of your 997?

Rick you are one crazy man LoL. There is nothing wrong with working a ton though. Keeping busy and enjoying what you do is the key to life.

My buddy was born and raised in Boston but moved back out here to Hawaii. I think it's pretty cool that you have what appears to be a shop to work out of and if that's your garage then WOW is all i can say.

RSWIM21- Thanks!!

vtec92civic- Thanks again vtec!

Hopefully all this hard work will pay off in the long run!

I rent the shop, but I am hoping to build a garage at my house some day to lower my overhead.

DaGonz- Thanks Buddy!

How's everything going? Been busy at the Fire Dept., detailing?

jdoria- Woah... Twins!! Congatulations!!

You must be a very tired person:)

So how did you break your toes?? Glad you are staying busy!

You guys should definitely make a trip! Let me know when your thinking...

tdekany- Thanks Thomas!! I really appreciate it!

DJBAILEY- Thanks, I agree! #915 is hard to beat! Definitely one of my favorite LSP's of all time...-

If (when ;) ) I go to hell, I think I'll see that exact shade of red everywhere. Looks amazing! What a stunning ride!

l luv the fotos, Rick. You're doing a great job with the camera.

You've got to be a player to drive a car like this, right? Why didn't the guy just have the dealer just screw on a new lip up front? (The repair looks great!)

Jokeman- Anytime buddy! :) In your dreams.. :LOLOL

Let me know when you want me to detail the Enzo! :p

tom p.- Thanks Tom!

I'm still learning the camera, but getting there...

As for the owner, he is a hard working guy that is a true car enthusiast. One of the nicest guys you'd ever want to meet. I think the total cost to fix the spoiler was leass than $40 compared to a new one for several hundreds of dollars from the dealer.

Got it, thanks...and you're not charging enough on stuff like that ;)

it really looks super. My wife would benefit from knowing about the SEM product line up :werd: I think I'll order a catalog !

that car deserved the attention...excellent results

I want that car sooooo bad....

don't need it

would never use it as intended

don't live in the right climate

but I want it soooo bad :D

This thing is an animal Rick!! What a huge difference when a real Pro like you uses contant forward movement to return that chin spoiler back to OEM specs. You knew that the 1st attempt wasn't 100% spot on and you didn't stop until it was. Great work. This is what separates the men from the boys in detailers! I take it Ryan didn't put his paint horny little hands on this one?
