2010 Porsche GT3 in Guards Red (Clear-bra install, Spoiler repair & Detail) by UCC

SOOO red!!!

Nice front end recovery...MA roads are such demons for low sports cars. My Z's front underspoiler is chewed up a bit from some Cambridge roads.

Rick - remember recommending me to Julian a couple of summers ago for some painting work for my Audi's spoiler? Thanks for the referral by the way, it came out perfect, but I ended up totaling the car shortly afterward because of Cambridge roads :( Thankfully, I won the appeal and recouped 100% of its value.

Greg Nichols- Thank you Greg!

How's everything?

Amused- Thank you!

Gotta love the roads around here...

Glad you were happy with Julians work and sorry to hear about your car. At least you won the appeal!

Beautiful job on that GT3. Amazing documentation as well. Also, I think I like the look of the spoiler the way it came out. The contrast between the glossy red and the matte color is, well delicious to say the least.

I thought it was Landau Black. I've used it several times on Trim work. I really do like the SEM line up. Even though I recently got blasted by other members on here for using it because it's "Cheap crap" Glad to know I'm not the only one.

Awesome awesome job buddy!! Other than the hat the car looks perfect! For me, these are also your best photos. You did a great job capturing the gloss of the red which can be a difficult color to capture especially indoors. Hopefully I'll be able to make my way up there finally this year and work on something with ya.

Hemin8r- Thanks Hemin8r!

Jakerooni- I've been using the SEM stuff for years and have never had a problem with it. Don't listen to everybody else... If you like it and it works great for you, use it!

Got_Leather- Thanks a lot, DJ!

You don't like my Red Sox hat? haha...

Thanks for the compliments! We'll definitely have to get together someday.

I'll try to give you a buzz later today to catch up on things...

jdoria- Thanks buddy!

What's new with you, anything?

Jakerooni . . . . . i say if it works for you and you and the customer are happy then don't worry about what someone else tries to flame about. Flamers are haters.

I have personally come to the realization that what other people think usually don't matter so to speak unless it's your client or someone you actually care about.

ONCE again though very nice work Rick. Sorry if this post sort of crashed the party.

Thanks for the info. :waxing:

You are 100% right! So many people out there have no clue what they're doing and frown on others that use something they've never used before.

You always need to think outside the box and try different things...

I am hoping to find something like that product here locally or maybe even order some of it some how to repair my girlfriends car. She has some damage under the front bumper of her 08 accord that's on a black piece similar to the one on the porsche.

People just need not speak if they have something overly retarded to say. If they don't agree with you or the use of something that is one thing but if it is just straight negative talk nobody wants to hear it.

LoL.

Hows business been for you guys?

Depending where you live, this should be available at any local body shop supply store. Auto Zone usually carries this stuff as well, but I think it's made by Rustoleum...

Business has been absolutely crazy this year. Absolutely one of my busiest years ever, almost too busy! In this tough economy, it's good I guess, so I try not to complain.

I work 2 jobs (work 70-80 hours every week) and have been planning a wedding, so it's hard to get on the forums much. I literally have about 75+ write ups that I'm behind on... I almost don't want to put them up, because when I do, I always get bombarded with work!:)

Thanks again!

Incredible work Rick !!! I definitely learned something about fixing the lip. Very nice !

Would you mind sharing where you purchased the protective plastic for the mats?

Your just a jack of all trades huh Rick, clear film install and the lip repair is very impressive!

I really need to get my hands on any form of the new GT3. Excellent work my friend!

Wow, so Rick you also work another regular full time job, or do you detail full time and also well have to plan that wedding =)

Great to hear that it has been a very busy year. I'm hoping the economy makes a come back sooner then later. The more and more i see all these write ups the more i lean towards moving back to the mainland.

I think that trim looks awesome, I have a similar scuff on the front bumper trim on my car, I think this thread just gave me the inspiration to tackle it.

The rest of the car looks stunning, as usual! I love the glowing, absolutely flawless red in full sun!
