2010 Nissan GTR, black, HORRIBLE swirls/hazing

I want to apologize off the bat for the horrible quality pics. I took them with my wifes phone/my phone. I did this car one day before my wedding reception. Then the next day as a wedding gift, i received a very expensive full size Canon from my Aunt :) I wish I had it to take great before and after pics of this car.

On to the car itself. He found me using google, which I dont know how, I dont have any of the tags up on my website. Plus there are a TON of detailing places in Omaha. But either way Im happy he chose me:D This car was probably one of the worst i have ever seen as for swirls/hazing. He purchased the car used and i am pretty sure the hood/bumper/fenders were repainted at some point to cover up rock chips. I found a few fish eyes and dry spots on the bumper and hood. Also the dealer he got it from tried to "buff" it and well you can see from the first couple of pics they did a lovely job! :wall

Like i dont even know how they did this! How it wasnt caught when they took it outside! I would have beaten the guy that did this work to a bloody pulp if it was my car. Well first off i wouldnt ever let a dealership detail shop touch my sports car or any car.

before i cleaned the exhaust tips. Speaking of those exhaust tips, I noticed the other GTR detailed down below--what did you use to get them that clean? I got most of the black stuff off but I didnt want to use a scotch brite pad and scratch up the surface--since they are polished aluminum.

I absolutely loved this car. In a few more years once the price drops a bit more, i really want one to have as a track/fun in the snow car.

Great save there, it was badly hack up. What was your process and products use on this inst.:bigups

Amazing turn around! That car was TRASHED and it looks better than new now! Great work, and congrats on the wedding!

Makita 7227
Green foam polishing pad
Hi-temp Super Sonic cutting and finishing compound
Opti-seal
Blackfire Wet Diamond all finish protection
Blackfire Wet Diamond LSP
Polished the windshield using a diamondite
The interior just needed a light vacuum and wipe down.

Most of my details are done only with 1 pad, 1 compound. I typically work the paint a lot hotter than any other detailer. It doesnt always work and id say dont try it on a customers vehicle because its a lot easier to burn paint.

Im sure Im missing something but if you have any questions just ask.

Two days after I was done with this detail, the guy that owns the car, his dad occasionally drives it. Well he took the car out for awhile, then when he brought it home. He used a Cali-duster on it :( and it put light scratches all over the entire car. He told me about it and I went over and used this:
I used this on it, Turtle Wax Black Box
I skipped the 1st step, since it didnt need the cleaner wax. Went to step 2 and 3, then followed up with BFWD sealant and lsp. It took out 85% of the light scratches from the California duster! I highly recommend it or at least trying it sometime on a black vehicle. It would be great if someone doesnt want to buff out a black vehicle but wants most of the swirls covered up.

Great work man. I'm glad you rescued that one. Those are my favorite cars I love them so much can't wait to get one! hopefully the dealership doesnt try to detail mine before delivery lol
