2009 NJ Meet?

I'm not aware that we've had a good "detail day" meet here in NJ since the 2004 Meguiar's class at PAL Automotive or the 2005 Poorboy's day that was just over the border into NY. I've tried to work something out with PAL, and several other members also said they would try, but that seems to have been a bust.

I'm envisioning something where we'd be able to wash and detail, to be able to demonstrate and compare products and techniques. That requires water, electricity and bathroom facilities. I have no other ideas or contacts.

We could do something in one of the county parks, which would have no water or electricity, and some (probably gross) public bathrooms.

Anybody have any ideas, facilities, or suggestions?

LOL, yeah, but I need a PR person, I'm not really the sociable type, in case anyone hadn't noticed :p

EDIT: Actually, most of the speed shops are gone. What we need is something like we had at PAL or the Poorboy's meet (car dealer) where we can use a parking lot but have access to inside for a hose connection, electricity, and bathrooms. Usually enough people have pop-up tents to provide shade. We just need somebody who knows somebody...when PAL did it, it was to sell supplies, I don't know whether Poorboy had to pay the dealer or whether he just had a connection there.

What's going to be the incentive for the shop? Having a bunch of car guys in the lot? I tried that with PAL, which is a detailing supply shop, and they didn't seem interested.
