Recently was contacted for a 1 step correction on a 2009 Nissan 370z (black of course). Due to some scheduling conflicts, I took on this one during the overnight hours. Took care of the interior and the wash / decon in the early evening but didn't get down to any correction work until around 11pm. And it wasn't pretty....

We had agreed to a 1 step correction. I can't lie, I did go over some deeper rids with d300 and megs MF pads as a courtesy. However, I didn't really photo any of that. Was looking more to document a decent 1 step correction so the before / after photos you see are a just that.
Did some test spots and settled on doing the 1 step correction done with:
Flex 3401 / Griots GG6 + LC Tangerine + Menzerna Power Finish (PF2500)
I started on the rear end as a change of pace for me (very exciting)

That same area up close before / after. You can see there are some defects leftover so this paint would benefit from a 2 step correction but it was not in the budget

The Hood Before

Hood After (again you can see some leftovers which might have cleaned up if a 2 step correction was in order)

It was pretty late by the time I made it around to the drivers side. Then I found the hidden message...
It looked like someone had written on this car at some point with an auto writer or some type of marker. But not cleaned off entirely then it left a stain? I don't know. It was very faint. And at roughly 2am I kinda thought I was seeing things. Glad I got photo evidence of what I believe was the word "comp" written on the qtr panel.

Fortunately this polished out. It was somewhere on this panel

After all that, car was wiped down with CarPro Eraser and protected with Blackfire Wet Diamond Sealant.
The final product
Under LED lights only (how I spent most of the evening)

With the fluro lights on along with the LEDs

Reflection in the driver side door

Shut down the garage at 4am. Client lived nearby so I picked him up at 8am in time for work.
