2009 Lexus RX-350

why do ya'll spend 20 a gallon when you can get 4 16oz. spray bottles of Mist & Shine QD for $16...and as noted above...a much better spray nozzle!

I have Final Inspection, Meguiars QuikDetailer and Eagle One and frankly I like the Eagle One even though it might not have the detailer ranking since you can get it at any auto store. Give it a try. Its cheap too.

Just make sure you get all of those nasty silicones out of the bottle;)

Actually I spoke to a Meguiars rep not to long ago and was told that neither product contains silicones. One is marketed to pros, the other to consumers. Supposedly FI has a bit more of a shine.

Short Cut-- I did the same thing. I found the "Quik Detailer" ($4-6) spray bottle to be much better than the Final Inspection bottles. I bought a gallon of FI and am using it in the Quik Detailer spray bottle with great results. It's a much finer mist than most other spray bottles, with good distribution.

I have found that too. It is definately not a normal spray bottle.

Meguiars QuikDetailer for me. I am right now using a Armor All proctant i got on clearance. It isnt the best. But it does makte it shine.

Yea, that armor all paint protectant is pretty good. It makes it shine and leaves the car feeling nice and slick.

I have a new favorite-Quikshine, which is made by Clearkote out of Houston. I found it at a ricer shop at the mall (you know, the alleged hi-performance shops that sell more neon and altezzas than headers).

It really doesn't have any scent at all, but it leaves the paint super slick-and I mean slick. I sent some to Intermezzo and he seemed to like it also.

I voted on the other category:

I have only used Platinum Gloss Enhancing Mist. I used this based on advise from TACS. I have klasse on my car and they recommended this if I was using polymers.

I plan to later use clear pearl and then I will have something to compare it to

Eimann Fabrik Clear Pearl is my favorite. I also like Griots Speed Shine and Meguires Final Inspection.

Cheers,

I like my Zaino Z6. I like the smell too. Always have one handy in my detailing arsenal in my car.

My first wife, she was kinda mean though, anyway never marry a woman that is bigger than you are.... just joking...I have been married for 28 years.. unless she reads this!

I'm with Brad and Don on this one. I've always felt that the Meguiar's QD spray (whether it's the burgundy colored consumer bottle, or the tan "professional line") was a very poor performer. :down

For a finish that has a carnauba top coat, Eiman Fabrik Clear Pearl is my favorite by far. For a Klassed finish, Sonus Acrlic Spritz is excellent.

If you are looking for an "over-the-counter" type of QD spray, my choice would be the Eagle One Mist and Shine. The only thing that I pick up the bottle of Meguiar's QD spray for is to clean the floor mats in my daily driver...that's all it's good for in my experience. :(

I love, as much as I hate to say it, BEADX by Formula 113. (for those of you who are newer to the forum, a couple years ago there was some, um, unpleasantness on this forum with the owner of Formula 113)
