Wow... some of the first "detailed" pix of the fabled GTR! Wow... kudos to you.

Thanks, I'm just sorry I don't have better pics, most of the ones I took have horrible backgrounds as well as way too much light coming in and drowning out all the color and depth of the paint.:aww:

Damn you beat me to it, I have a red GTR booked for a new car prep in October, thought I'd be one of the first guys to have one detailed in the states, guess not :hmph: Anyway that gray one is looking right as is should now, nice job Josh:goodjob

This is actually a client Moe referred to me from 6speed, the GTR is in Houston so it was a bit of a drive for me, especially to get rained out like I did, had to cancel all my other appointments....:sadpace:

He was one of the first to order and a lot of them are getting stuck at the port for months at a time due to Nissan having to retrain their people for this car. The owner told me he was fortunate and that many will be waiting till Oct to get theirs.

Can't wait to see pics of the red one once you are finished with it. They look good especially with those dark rims they have.

Josh

josh, if i had money/cars like jay leno... this car would definitely be one in my collection. you're so lucky to have worked on it, and you did it the right way as you always do...

Very cool Josh. I 'maybe' have a correction on a new black GT-R this weekend, but I haven't heard from the owner. I will let you know. Looks amazing!

Congrats Josh!

So no holograms or swirls from the factory? Good thing the client had you setup to prep it.

Thanks, to my surprise the paint was near perfect, only one small blemish at the top of the hood near the windshield.

I requested the owner not let the dealership even touch it and I'm glad he didn't cause while I was preping the GTR I watched as their people brought back a half dozen cars and scrubbed them down with a brush and dirty water without even soaking them first, then just ran them through the auto wash....

Stunning car and stellar work. Congrats on having that unique opportunity.

I'm curious why you chose Z5 instead of Z2Pro? It looks fantastic covered in Z5 but would Z2 offer a little more shine and sparkle? Don't get me wrong, it looks absolutely fantastic and you worked on the car and were best suited to determine the LSP.

Awesome job Josh. I have a client that has a black one on order. Your write up gave me a few tips. I'm hoping to beat Todd to the punch :nana:

Awesome new car prep. I am getting my GT-R in about 10 days. Red with Grey leather. I will prep the car basically like you. No way will the dealer touch my baby.

I am member on NAGTROC, and Ive told everyone there how important new car detailing is. I posted links of MOE's work from 6speed on to NAGTROC. So I guess indirectly the business came to you! The world really is small.:hifive:

Hey, Josh. First off, fantastic work on an amazing car. Question for you: Did you happen to give the owner a quick "how to" on how to keep that car looking great?

I didn't see you mention it, so I'll ask.

Did you clay without rinsing the soapy/dirty water off the car? To me seems like too much additional risk involved that way especially forgoing a polishing step.
