Ok guys on my off time, I enjoy playing wii sports with the kids. Over time with a 8,7 and a 2 year old this disc suffered from some serious rids and swirls. Back in the day before mp3 players exsisted, I use to run my buffer over cd's and polish them out to stop them from skipping. Well over the last week we were facing some serious issues with my wii sports game. To be honest, I'm almost addicted to this disc as much as I am to detailing. So I decided to put my skills to test.
3000 unigrit paper
M105 Purple Foamed Wool Pad Rotory
M205 Yellow Foam Meguiars Pad Rotory
Colinite 845
Now the Before shots.
I let the paper and sanding pad sit in a bowl of water for about 15 minutes prior to sanding.
Next after some sanding I took the disc out to my shop and taped it up for a 50/50. IN the first shot you can see the haziness from the sanding. Next I taped it up to see what kinda 50/50 I could get out of this. lol I know how you guys like them shots. here are a few pics.
The chemicals of use!
I put m105 on a pinnacle wax applicater and massage it onto the cd then I held my buffer down with the trigger locked at 1200 rpms I began to buff the disc to remove the sanding marks.
Here is a 50/50 for ya.
Then I massaged on m205 using the same method and began to polish it out.
