AMG Classic Car Detailing
Had a call this morning for a one step to do in under 4 1/2 hrs, But I knew the customer and vehicle in question because I have done it last year so It needed a one step and a new coat of sealant.
My Process was :
ONR wash, Dry with a WW towel (Big Blue III), After Leaf Blower. Clay it also with #34.
Tape up with 1" 3m blue tape.
W66 Backing Plate with Makita rotary.
Pads use were the new Flat Pads from LC (Green Pad),
also regular LC CCS Green pad also with PO203.
Works perfect like a charm!:thumbup:
IPA wipe down to ensure no more swirls were there.
Sealent of choice was Blackfire Wet Diamond All Finish Protection with a Gold Appicator. Wipe off with Dragon Fibre Magic Towel.
Tires dress with 303 Protectant and Glass clean with Stoners.
No interior was done because it was only a exterior one step this time, onwer was very happy with it and so was I too. Here is some pictures I took.

Was it a CC or single stage? *Many* white Honda's (especially "Taffeta White") are actually SS paint.

I was working on a 2008 Accord today and it was SS, as was a 2002 White Civic I did a few weeks back. The White CR-V looks very similar.

In any event, very nice work.

Did you use anything on the black plastic around the vehicle? My wife has a silver CR-V and I've used many different items on the plastic and am wonderin what you used and how it worked. I've used Meg's Hyper Dressing, All Season Dressing, GC Trim Detailer, Mother's Back to Black and 303. I think I prefer the ASD.

My wife's 07' Accord is Taffeta White and you're right. It's SS. It is a PITA to work with. Unfortunately, it also needs a lot of work. When we bought it, the paint was already badly etched from who knows what. I'm guessing acid rain. I've done everything I could think of (PowerGloss with yellow LC pad did nothing. 2000 grit sandpaper worked a little, but some pitting remains.) and the etching remains. On the other hand, my wife has the shiniest acid rain-etched vehicle in the neighborhood!:D
