Well this is the first time I detail. I want to try it on my dads sky since thats his pride and joy. Started the work at 12 with some energy drinks and started to compound the car. Im kind of dissapointed in the job I did. I couldn't get the scratch out but did get the swirls out. and I also I know that I need to take more pic's.

Process:

*Two bucket method: Filled soapy water with DG 901 and filled my other bucket with water

*Foam gun: filled with DG 901

*Clay with meguairs and ONR as lube

*Entire car was compound with IP

*Entire car was glaze with N.07

*Entire car was seal with NXT liquid wax and was with S100

*Trim got 303 and top got SG

*Tire got Meguairs high tire shine

*Wheelwells got ATS

Wow, is that really a Saturn? I never knew Saturn made such a sexy car. Nice job on the detailing, it looks very clean. Now I gotta Google this Sky. I thought they only made normal boring looking sedans and whatnot.

you did a good job for your first time (don't be discouraged) and as you get your technique down and just like anything else, you get better as you go along! :up

I agree with Al!:2thumbs:

I parked next to one of these just to see one up close. The hood is painted very well. Very little orange peel. But the doors are covered in orange peel. Weird.

Yep, they're a sister car to the Pontiac Solstice and will be a rebadged Opel GT for our friends across the pond.

Definitely a halo car for Saturn. And one that caused a lot of consternation with the no-dicker price policy at Saturn what with all the initial dealer markup.

Even better, I got to inspect a couple of the performance Redline versions parked next to each other back in May.

Great job, Jesse. Car looks a lot better than what it did.
