Hey guys, well this car was in pretty bad shape for being so new, the inside was horrible, worse than anything that I have ever dealt with before, the inside alone took me 4 hours!! The paint was in need of some serious claybar action....no swirls so I just ended up sealing it, which was a plus for my day

I also did my first wheel well attempt, brought out the pressure cleaner, pressure cleaned the wells and treated them with some 303 protectant, I thought it turned out pretty good...anyways, process was as follows

-Wash with NXT wash

-Clay with Pinnacle poly clay/nxt wash/water lube

-Wash again

-Wells pressure cleaned

-Poorboys EX with carnuba

Interior

-Vacuum!!

-Simple green dilute mixture to door panels/sills then protected with 303

-Dash treated with 303

-Door panels with meguiars interior trim shine

-Carpets cleaned with Turtle wax oxy power out

-Tar removed with acetone, then treated the panels with 303

-etc

Nice and wet. You're using 303 for the wheel wells? That stuff is awfully expensive to use in a place like that. Get some hyper dressing for places like that.

ok, yea I wasnt using that much of it, just a quick spritz, I was going to ask what other products were good to dress the wells with :nervous:

I'm not sure but it was bad! oh and I've got a question for all you detailers, how much would you charge for something like this? I spent 8 hours on it and used quite a bit of materials, I was thinking around 170? I dont really know what to call on this one

Just use some cheap tire foam. The foam covers better. Nice work by the way!!

You can charge what you'd like but IMO 170 for 8 hours of work isn't too bad that equates to 21 dollars an hour but remember supplie costs also. I always calculate for 30 an hour plus supply costs. But then again I don't do this for a living so I make sure it is worth my time, plus it all depends where you live. The area I live in is a more upscale area and there are people willing to pay for quality so around here I can command that price and get te kind of customers I want.
