I miss my 03 Cobra......
Well first off, I absolutely love this thing. The monthly payment has already paid for itself a few times over in the gas savings alone. Lately I have put a few mods on. Most of you know I can't keep a vehicle stock, same problem most of us have around here.



I've been maintaining the bike, for starters with Prime Strong topped with OCW. Bike looked awesome, no surprise to those of you that have used OCW on lighter colors. But I was looking for something a little bit "better" I guess you could say. I was thinking to myself while on the internet the other night and an idea came to my head. So a couple of days later I gave this idea a try on my bike and hit the nail on the head IMO. The bike looked as I had hoped it would. It just had the depth, wetness, and it darkened the silver portions of my bike in a very minor, but yet appealing way. The shine off of the white portions is impressive to say the least.



Mods:

-LeoVince Carbon Slip-On

-Pazzo shorty levers

-Puig Windscreen

-Smoked LED signals

-Shogun frame sliders

-Future mods consist of a ton of carbon fiber. :grinno:



My Process:

-Wash w/optimum

-Polish w/Prime Strong by hand

-Sealed w/50/50 mix of Jeff's Werkstatt Carnauba Jett and Optimum Car



-Wheels washed w/optimum and polished w/Prime Strong

-Wheels Sealed w/50/50 mix of Jeff's Werkstatt Carnauba Jett and Optimum Car

Can PM the secret formula? My neighbor just bought a 2006 GSXR 1000 (he buys a new bike every year) and he is forever asking me how to keep it looking new. So if you would I can pass on the info to him or maybe give it a quick detail and see if he likes it. Thanks

It's automotive stuff I happen to use on the bike. It's by far not bike only product. The only thing I can really say is that it's a spray type setup. A lot of people use it on there details. I know a lot of people have it, they just don't know they have it... :nervous2: That might not make sense, but that's what I was going for!! :chuckle:

I love those new Gixxers. My buddy has that exact bike, except his is stock. I really like what Suzuki has done with the turn signals. May just make me rethink that new R1 for a Gixxer 1K.

:funnypost Nope, I'm an autopian still. It will have good longevity, look great, and smell great. Oh and easier to use than they are seperate, hopefully! Make sense.



The R1 is my favorite liter bike. As much as I love Gixxers, I can't deny the R1. Amazing bike from what I hear, and look amazing. Get the all black!! :drool:

I wear a jacket, helmet, and jeans. Lethers in the future! The helmet is mandatory. But I would wear it anyways.



Here is a pic of my helmet. The pic of the bike is before the signals, screen, and the charcoal colored R. I couldn't stand the red R on this color bike. And of course the helmet is wearing Prime/Mystery sealant.

50/50 mix of Jeff's Werkstatt Carnauba Jett and Optimum Car wax is the mystery.



I was just having some fun and wanted to try it some more before I talked about it. But I figured someone would be childish about it. Sorry guys.
 
Hmm, that sounds like a good mix and will probably make CJ a bit easier to use since it is noticably thicker than OCW. Definitely going to have to try it out.

The 'gixxer looks awesome! Great job on the detail. Very tasteful mods. Would love to have a GSX R 750 as a second bike specifically for the twisties and track days! The Kevin Schwantz Suzuki school just happens to be nearby at Road Atlanta. http://www.schwantzschool.com



Wish I could keep my bike looking that good for more than a day. I commute 2 hours a day on mine so needless to say it doesn't stay clean very long no matter how often I clean it. I am in the process of replacing all the bodywork with fresh panels and will be putting 3M clear bra material on all the vulnerable panels. Can't wait to get it all back together and post up some pics.

That's exactly how it works for me. But I noticed I still get that hint of hazing from from the CJ in it. Which is how CJ works, but it's easier to remove for some reason. So far it's been a hit for me on this bike. I'm thinking of hitting up the Cobra sometime and using this on it.



RogueM3: The fender eliminator I made out of the stock fender. There was a cross bar where the plate attached to the stock "mudguard". I cut the two ends off and had a free plate mount. And to think I almost paid $80 for one!! :grinno:

It looks like your secret formula is no longer a secret. I will try it out myself. CJ and OCW create great results already, so what would you say is the difference with those vs. the "Secret Formula"?

When I use CJ. To me it dries to a slight haze before I can get it worked in. Then I wish I could go over it with something to remove the haze a little easier. Added OCW has done this for me. OCW is a little wetter in it's use. It doesn't seem to dry as fast. They seem to be like a good combo. I hope to see some people try it and see what they think.
