2006 RX330 revisited 365 days later

looking good!

fk products are awesome I use 215/2180/1000P on 07 camry and love the looks and durability

euro, if you accept my opinion, I think that the combos you mentioned are truly great. However, they have their own characteristics. The signature cue of FK1 products is a thick, clear, solid look. The old AIO/SG is a bit old-fashioned sealant; reflective, handsome but... I prefer Carlack's new formulas (CL68, LLS, Polylack, Prime, AJ, etc.), as they produce a very liquid, wet appearance.

Alone, the 215 is far more powerful than either version of AIO. It cuts better, and is more durable. The 2180 is a unique, pore-filling sealant, which is a great companion to the 1000P. As Thomas said, you must understand the methodology of FK1 to be able to bring out the max out of them. You could see that they reacted even to the Polycharger very differently. Meticulous tuning is/was necessary to reach a point where they cooperate with that product and produce repeatable, true results.

The CL formulas work more commonly; if this is the right word to describe their application. I like how they "plastify" the surface (Carlack lingo) with their acrylic ingredients. They look also great! Different looks, different combos. Both are truly excellent.

It looks very good but I doubt a sealant can last that long, ie. 12 months. That goes against a lot of experience and learning I've acquired in detailing. Six months perhaps but not in an outside 24/7 car. Just too much going on.

I did my girlfriends Jeep 7 months ago and it is only washed monthly and it is still so thick, clear, glossy, and very reflective. When we drive it the water beads up the hood very fast still. I used 2180,1000p x3, pw x2. I posted the pics and post up a couple weeks ago.

I think the 1 year could be dead on if not longer. Not good for repeat business or a customer that comes back 2 times a year.

Absolutely.

Why'd you go and mention CarLack for?:think2 Now I might have to check them out (1 or 2 products) to see what you were describing.:LOLOL

Errrmmm, let's see...

...You mentioned AIO/SG... then it must have been a brain fart... or "coincidence"... :D

Either way, if you like acrylics, use CL/JW (new formulas are better than classic AIO/SG), and if you like cationic resins, use 215/2180/1000P.
