Well apparently we're getting into boats now as well, so here is the latest one I've worked on. It is a 2006 Mobius wakeboarding boat with 500 hours! Wow, thats a lot for a 2006.
Was in terrible shape, oxidized from the continuous arizona sun. Just bought it for $27490, and flipped it for $49988. Money is definatly to be made on boats!
Anyways, exterior process is much different than a car. You can basically sit in one spot for a good 2-3 seconds and not burn the gel coats. So, my process was:
-Megs #49 on twisted wool pad at 2500 RPM
-Automagic Power Cut Plus to remove slight haze on cutting pad at 1000 RPM.
-3m Ultrafina SE via polishing pad at 2500 RPM
-Collonite wax
Interior:
Prairie West APC cut 40:1, and scotch bright pad for vinyl.
Collonite on gel coat
Carpets were cleaned with a pressurewasher, but they were fairly stained
Here are the pictures! What a nice boat, who ever bought this got a hellova deal, since they are $79000 right down the street for an identical boat with more hours!
