2006 Cadillac Escalade - Black - Complete Detail - 100 pics

Wow, incredible comeback! A pleasure to view!

I just bought one of these beasts (same example, minus mods) in similar shape. I've got 10 hours into it, still not ready for Autopia :).

Where did you buy those papers?

Great Job David.

David tipped me off to the papers and black wool pad as well a while back. I was also sent free samples of the papers, and a pad. Monday, I did an overspray job on an SUV. Between the Auto Magic blue clay, and the 4000 grit paper from this kit, it was a breeze. I am anxious to try the black wool, but will definitely be ordering paper from them in the future.

Quite intensive!

One question though, when did you start? I noticed that it was dark.

How long did it take you? What was your schedule like for this project?

I'm glad you realized how easy overspray jobs can be with 4000 grit. And people always consider clay the detailer's secret.

Also, as long as people are serious about ordering Micro-Surface's products, they'll send you some samples to try.

Thanks Porta! I love how they refer to their products as: MICRO-MESH® THE NON-ABRASIVE ABRASIVE

So true.

3 hours Friday night / 14 Saturday / 8 Sunday = 25

Hey Dave you finaly posted the truck up. That time the truck was in very bad shape. I will need you to do the truck again soon but is holding up very well this time. Only thing is that my wife ran into the raindeer in the lawn a few weeks back and left a nice white mark on the rear bumper. I'm still waiting on the new 26 and a new grill. As soon as the truck has it's updates I will bring it to you.

Beautiful work David! That's a lot of square footage to polish. I did an F-250 a while back in the freezing cold (yes, outside on a November day in Canada) and my back was sure killing me so I have a good idea what you went through with this one.

David, in these photos and in other C-n-B's when you have used the Micro-Mesh sandpaper it looks like you are dry sanding and not wet-sanding. Are you dry sanding with the 4000 Micro-mesh?
