I would bet a cold beer that the "detailers" used a green wash brush on that paint. I see it all the time on "dealer" recoveries.

Nice detail!

How'd you like that clear? :D

12 hours on that Vette is a helluva work day, but you really turned that around. WHat a beauty. It's amazing how people can mar such beautiful cars!

Oh yes, Much better now....

Its good to know that when a vette is really bad I am not the only one that takes a long time to do it right.

Did the other detailers use a rake to clean the car?! :( Amazing turnaround. Time well spent and hopefully equally paid. I absolutely love the color!

Yeah, great job! The sorry state of the car "before" makes me cringe at what some people call "detailing."

Guess I better give my Fairfax-based brother a heads-up.

thanks everyone! I am going back on the 19th to add another layer of protection. I will be taking care of his car from now on. :)

Chris: I charge by the hour, so it was a pretty good pay day.

Hey, Moe! - have your brother call me! :D

This paint was pretty tough and I am not the fastest for sure. I hate to remove more clear then I have to.

I think it's a combination of the fiberglass body and, maybe, something to do with the paint they use. I don't know thought, but they seem universally really hard.

tdekany - damn man. I am rarely mouth agape when going through these threads. Excellent work and great documentation.

DSVWGLI DieselMDX 2000firebird - thank you guys!

Picus - thank you too, but I think that I do a horrible job documenting my work. I type slow so I do the minimum I can. :D

 :wow: Not only impressive swirl/defect removal but I see no rotary holograms after compounding and polishing. Looks superb in the afters.
