2005 Range Rover in the heat...

Clean Dean

Keep it clean !!!
2005 Range Rover…

Sweltering hot day up here in NJ, and a tough day to detail a metallic blue Range Rover. Started the detail early to try to avoid the sweltering heat, but the paint on this truck still took me about 3.5 hours to level out and seal. I detailed this truck last in April of 06, and the exterior was showing the results of an life without the benefits of being garaged. This daily driver has never spent a night inside, and the top side of the clear was wearing some wounds.

The process…

Wash and clay
1st pass with Hi Temps HCL/ Optimum Polish 50/50.
2nd pass with 3M Finnesse –It III.
Sealed with Meg’s #21.
Topped with Mother Pure Carnabu paste wax.

Great work as usual, Dean :bigups

Question: What do you like so much about #21? I see you use it quite often. Have you used #20, if so how does it compare?

LikeaRock,

I have been using #21 for about a year. I have never tried #20, and have had great success on my personal vehicles with #21. My detailing philosophy as a professional is if something works well and give consistent results, stick with it. I have been mobile detailing since 2000 and when I first started out I tried so many waxes and sealants, and also tried every "latest and greatest" product on the market and have settled on a few that given me consistent results. I also purchase chemicals in large quantities to make them more cost effective, and I am just about out of #21, and will soon be buying a quart of #21 and a gallon of Poorboys EX-P which is also a favorite of mine.

When it comes to sealants, my biggest concern is ease of use and durability. I am pleased with both of these products.
