2005 Price Increases

Poorboy

Founder Poorboy's World
Due to rising costs, we are raising our retail and wholesale prices slightly as of January 1, 2005 ....
As most of you have seen, gas prices(shipping) and the cost of doing business have increased over the last few years and this is our first price increase since our inception.(August 2002)
Prices on our latest products, Super Slick & Suds Car Wash and Bio-Degradable APC will not be raised.
We will try to keep shipping prices at the same level, but we'll have to see how the new 2005 FedEx prices compare to the current ones.
Thanks again for all your support and everyone have a Healthy and Happy New Year:hippi

That's ok Steve IMO. You get what you pay for :) And I'm willing to pay the extra from all our sponsors giving great products as well as all the holiday freebies that were given out and being given out still.

I believe one of the reasons is the diesel surcharges are out of control. Its costing a lot more to move frieght now. I'm surprised the diesel surcharges have not caught up to the consumer sooner.

Thanks for the heads up! It is a good thing that I'm pretty well stocked...actually overflowing may be a better way to describe it, LOL.

I can certainly understand the need to adjust your pricing to stay profitable. I'd rather pay a little bit more and keep you going so I can keep buying Poorboy's products and I'm sure most folks feel the same way.

I'll have to pick up some of the APC when the wheel sealant comes out.

Thanks for understanding....the increases on most products is minimal (.95)

... only a few 16oz bottles went up more than that:dunno

I think we'll see price increases on a lot of things in addition to detailing supplies...and I would expect most shipping charges to rise too as UPS, FedEx, etc. raise their rates - even if gas prices continue to fall. USPS Priority Mail actually provides better service than FedEx or DHL in my area although UPS is tops (and should be...I live within 2 miles of their HQ).

Autogeek possted an alert a week or so ago to expect Klasse & other European products to increase in price due to the weak dollar.

Hey Steve,

How about an end of year special? I was going to wait to order some products, but now i may order them this week....Just a thought.... ;) :D

I use to use UPS, but they damaged and lost too many things and my local driver was a real charmer "thud" USPS is more work , they don't take heavy packages and are not insured or as trackable, let alone they don't like taking chemicals of any kind.

We just finished a sale, but if eveyone would like a Pre-New Years sale...give me some ideas:dunno

oh man when I decided to start using the product there is a price increase. Just my luck :ticked

Believe me I understand what you are feeling, however, the product you get from Steve, as well as his customer support and answering of questions is a minimal price increase to us all.

And I agree w/another, this rise in cost is going to get felt everywhere. The transportation business across the board, not just the people you typically, think of is out of control w/rising costs.

Many companies are resorting to using rail freight because of this at all possible costs. Rail industry has had its best business in over 30 years as well as the building of new locomotives is booming!

Steve...how about 50% of your entire order?!!

Sounds good to me.

lol ..at that rate i wouldn't make it to 2005:lmfao

could do buy one product get second at 50% off (equal valued products) :dunno

I understand Steve, oh wait, I just bought a bunch of stuff from you at the end of the year. Good thing I did that. On the serious side I think most of us do understand. If you loose money you won't be in business for long.

I like that idea or how about this: 05 in 04? buy 4 products (or more), get a 5th free.....OR.....Buy 4 products, get a free MF towel....

I was thinking that maybe some folks might want to take advantage of the current prices b/f they go up.....

I'm begging you Steve, do NOT do anything that will make me spend more money on detailing products!! :crazy

Don't you have the whole line by now?

No, just SSR2.5, SSR1, S&W, and Natty's, but I do not need encouragement to order just about the entire line of yet another brand.
