Recently completed(as in today lol), this vehicle needed some TLC. In the course of the job I would wetsand the entire front end, rockers and wing as they were re-sprayed and the texture did not match.

The first pic just before the wash, the finish is shrinking and needed sanding to level and bring back clarity to the paint. The trick was matching the orange peel texture panel to panel.

50/50 of sanded trunklid.

The following pics will show the difference between the sanded and corrected side and the hazy shrunk side. This pic show blurry reflection of Porsche posters on my shop wall.

This is the sanded side of the 50/50, there is more clarity of the poster on the wall.

This is a good pic as well, tape line cuts thru the halogen to show just what an improvement has been made.

Over head T8 lights and halogen show the haze.

Same angle of sanded & corrected side.

Reflection of me holding a magazine on non-sanded side.

Sanded & corrected side.

Even after all the sanding and compounding, healthy reradings for future correction if needed.

Wing was in bad shape too.

Wing now has O.E texture.

Einstein996TurboElsin997Turbo8-18-10063.jpg

Texture now matched from the re-sprayed quarter on the right, to the original passenger door.

One of the delicate areas was the drivers door handle, which had deep marring that had to be carefully compounded as this is a thin paint area.

Took some time but eventually I did get correction.

Einsteins996TurboBlue8-22-10009.jpg

The black wool left some nice holo's.

Einsteins996TurboBlue8-22-10010.jpg

Polished out the holograms on half of the door.

Einsteins996TurboBlue8-22-10011.jpg

Whole door finished down.

Einsteins996TurboBlue8-22-10013.jpg

Entire trunklid corrected and fine polished.
