2005 Peterbilt 379 Flat-Top

I just used them this weekend to remove BF protectant. Very nice towel, I was surprise to find they work best for the protectant removal. I tried a plush MF towel and a Viper style towel, but the Koala work the best for me.

Except for BF I don't plan on changing from my MF towels for all other purposes.

Hmm, I used the Koala to remove Pinnacle Paste Glaz and I thought it was pretty bad. It left a lot of the wax residue on the car. I took out a neatitems MF and it did a far superior job. I am not impressed with the Koala towel, especially for the price, you can get a great MF from Yo Steve or Neatitems.

In my experience, the Koala removed polymers like Klasse and Zaino better than MFs. Haven't tried them on traditional waxes yet. The only downside I can think of is that they are dyed and I can't launder them with my other Charismas.

I agree with Intermezzo, I find the Koala removes SG much better than the MF towels. However, a Charisma hand towel does as good a job as the Koala.

Intermezzo330i, James A,

Are you guys saying that a quality Terry Towel will remove SG better than a MF (at least in your exp.) ? Does it help w/the 'Haze' problem also.

Thanks

The MF might actually remove SG better than cotton and require a few less passes, but it's just easier for me to use cotton because it glides across the surface much more so than an MF. This is particularly evident when QDing. An MF will really grab onto your surface and requires more effort to buff back and forth. But cotton requires a lot less effort and you can really feel the slickness of your car.

In terms of the 'haze' or 'film' experienced once in a while with SG, I was able to remove it with considerable effort using an MF. I didn't want to do any hard rubbing on my paint with cotton.

But this is just me. If I had to guess, I would say the vast majority of people here prefer MF over cotton for buffing their cars.

I agree with Intermezzo, I also find that it requires less effort to remove SG with a cotton towel that an MF towel. I find that the MF towel works great with AIO and with wax, but not with the SG.

Rad21, I was very surprised by the results. Looks like others have discovered this already. I am anxious to try them (k's) with SG.

My PPG came off very nicely with a MF. Different texture than BF protectant. The more plush the MF towel the less effective it was with BF pro.

Where in So Cal are you? Send me a private email. I would be happy to drive over and let you use the Koala and see what you think.

Appreciate the offer, guess it wasn't coming out clear, but I have been using them. They come with the BF new car kit. My reference to 'trying' was to use them with SG the next time I break it out.

My experience is the same as many of you all here. I've also had a little better luck buffing out the Klasse SG with a serged Charisma towel ( a few). I do the final pass with a microfiber towel though. Laters

This is another one that was brought to us from the good ol' peterbilt, We knew this one would come out looking great, I doubt it will be forsale on the front lot for very long.

We started by giving it a thorough Wash+Frame+Motor, Using ZEP soap, and Super Suds, out of a 2600psi Alkota heated pressure washer, then we flashed all the aluminum with Aluminum brightnern AKA Acid, that kind of softens up them metel and cleans it nice and deep, almost like taking off a fine layer of the metal.

Here are some pics before the wash-

Now after all that washing, here is what it looks like before we get to buffing and polishing it. The aluminum still was pretty white and swirled and scratched up.

Now here is the outcome after interior detail and and just a coat of wax, we didn't buff the paint on this one because it was in pretty good condition, if it dont need it then we try not to charge peterbilt for it.

The aluminum was cut with 8in 4ply wool pad on a Pnumatic buffer(air powerd) @ about 4000 rpms using "ShowCar" Heavy duty compund. And then it was polished out by hand and a Pnumatic Orbital DA with Purple Foamed wool pad using White Diamond! Yes I said it! the Purple Foamed wool pad for polishing is AMAZING, just enough cut, but soft enough not to scratch or swirl, while using White Diamond polish and sealant! So here is the out come
