2004 Escalade on 24's

detailed this for a frequent customer... wash, clay, wash, 1z metallic polish via pc, then p21s... not much done on it, but it didnt need it cause, i detailed it about 3 weeks ago... kept pretty good... 303 on the trim outside, and on tires. mothers chrome polish on chrome (obviously).. for the interior, woolite mix to clean eveything, then meguiars gold class conditioner for seats, and 1z cockpit premium on dash/center console... spot treated certain areas on plastic/vinyl with 1z reinger (or whatever its called)... wasnt happy with the detail.. but then again its white.. so its hard to look good...

i think spinners are ghetto wheels... this escalade is done nice... and those are 33 inch tires not wheels... but thats besides the point.. what about the detail?
 
What do you mean you weren't happy? It looks great! To me white is supposed to look white not have a depth. I agree with C-MDX that he needs to get some new brakes( the ones with the holes in them) to make it look better. My last comment is that Porsche 911 turbo is hot!

My thoughts exactly. People with money and no knowledge of the mods they do to their vehicles are dangerous. They have NO idea what they've done to the handling/stopping characterisitcs of them...:nono

If they really have $$$ and want to impress people who know about cars, put a huge Baer brake system (like a 6 pot in front) behind those rims.

"The ones with holes in them"? Cross-drilled isn't the answer; swept rotor area and more calipers per rotor is.

With 24's, you definitely need the big brake kit, unless they are forged. I have 22" light-pressure cast wheels and I do not need them. However, if I had an Escalade and Porsche, I'd probably get them just for looks alone.



Most wheels are gravity cast, which means the metal is literally poured into a cast and allowed to set. Because of the loose structure of the molecules that happens when metal is allowed to harden, they are extremely heavy.



Rolling mass is a concept that anyone considering large wheels should be familiar with.



But anyway, good job on the Caddy!!
 
Car and interior both look great, but that shot of the rim is hilarious. That tiny little brake behind those huge wheels is a riot. What are the specs of the standard escalade brake system?

but i find it interesting that the porsche has its own section of the garage. ;) did you get to work on it yet?
 
well to respond to everyone about the brakes... he never changed them since he got the car, and they do look really stupid behind those wheels... but ya know what? its not my car, so i could care less... my job is to detail it for him, not to tell him his brakes look like s***. anyways... thanks hirosh... and yes ive work on the porsche before, actually a couple of times... there pics in my gallery of it... he actually owes my a ride in that car also... :bounce

sweet porsche. i can't tell what kind it is, is it a turbo? maybe you can make a deal with him, instead of paying you for detailing his cars, he can pay you with rides in his porsche! :D
 
if u think thats something... two of my neighbors both have ferrari f355s (i already did one), and my other neighbor has that new ford gt40 super car, or whatever the hell it is... (yet to talk to him)
