2004 Chevy SSR

My friend just got a new Dodge truck and he was wondering how to get the Dodge factory sticker off. I did a search on the forums but it came up empty. Also, Is it safe to remove it, will it leave any marks in that area? Thanks . . .

Dodge "factory sticker", I am not exactly sure what type of sticker you are referring to, however, a regular household hairdryer is usually quite effective for sticker removal.

If indeed the truck is brand new as you say, then the time to remove the sticker is now - not later when it probably will be noticeable as the paint underneath the sticker has not been exposed to the same conditions as the rest of the finish.

On the back of Dodge Ram's they don't have an emblem but a silver Dodge sticker on the back. Yeah, I know the confusion . . . all my cars have had the logo imprinted in metal emblems.

So, just a hairdryer? What should i use to get the residue off with and what should i use to initially peel off the sticker with? Thanks

Dave

Lighter fluid contains naptha, which is an excellent "sticker goo" remover.

Try to heat the sticker to soften it,and pull up an edge. At that point, keep applying the heat and remove the sticker slowly. If this is a process that you are not really comfortable with, 3M makes an adhesive remover as well.

I did this car a few months ago, took about 12 hours to complete the interior an exterior.

Looks great Nick! Not a swirl in sight!

(I don't know how much longer I can keep this up... it's like running a month-long marathon!)

Very nice work.

Was that water spots on the first picture, because they were completely gone an all pictures after that one?

Wow, that hood had more spots than a leopard! Honestly, the car looked like a different color after you were done. Nice work!
