2004 BMW M3 in Titanium Silver Metallic by Got_Leather

This car came from a referral from Todd @ Esoteric Detail. (Thanks Todd!) The owner drove the car down to the shop last week where I went over the paint and inspected and decided that a 1 step would suffice for the silver metallic. Now earlier that week I had just got my PC7424XP in and wanted to finally try it so I figured this detail would be a great car to see what the new Porter Cable had. Let me say it's a definite upgrade over the older model. After a dawn foaming and rinse, 2 BM wash via Dawn, and 2 91% alcohol wipe downs, the surface was now cleansed and prepped for polishing. I opted for Menzerna Power Finish 203 via Green LC Pad @ Speed 6 on PCXP. This step cleaned the paint nicely and added a new gloss to the paint. Next step I used Chemical Guyz EZ Creme Glaze via White LC Pad @ Speed 6 on PCXP to clean the paint, add some gloss and prep before applying the protection. Then anytime I have a silver car, I always use my Opti-Seal/Optimum Car Wax combination as I feel it gives a great look to the lighter color. Also the same combination I use on my silver Acura.

Foam via Dawn (let dwell for 5-7 minutes)

2 BM Dawn Wash

2 91% Alcohol Wipe Downs

Menzerna Power Finish 203 via Green LC Pad

Chemical Guyz EZ Creme Glaze via White LC Pad

Optimum Opti-Seal

Optimum Car Wax

The wheels were cleaned using APC then Optimum Poli-Seal. Leather was cleaned and conditioned using Leatherique Prestine Clean.

Before - you can notice the lack of gloss and pop to the paint and wheels. The car was in fairly decent shape, but with some TLC I took it to the next level.

Here I'm letting the Dawn dwell on the paint to help clean and loosen any prior protection or oils. Mixed about 2oz in the Foam gun.

Now with the addition of the Nikon D60, reading 25 pages or so (Todd HAHA), taking after pictures is starting to become fun. I think I have like 30 after pictures but I know you guys aren't complaining.

As for marking out the license plate, it won't come back to the owner so were good.

Looks good DJ! Now try to get more than 25 pages into the photog book. :)

PO203S worked great on the silver 05 M3 I worked in a few weeks ago as well.

I look forward to you making the trip up to Ohio next weekend and helping me with that Audi. After the marathon session I'm going to have on the Ferraris this week, I'm going to need an extra set of hands on hammered black Audi paint!
