2003 Taurus Detail

Well, I had no choice but to detail the wife's car this past weekend since she decided parking under power lines (aka bird roosts) and pine trees at work was a great idea. Sorry, no before pics, batteries for the digi were charging. The products used:

Wash with Meguair's NXT

Clay Bar

Mother's Paint Cleaner

Meg's Super Glaze

Meg's Gold Class as LSP

Depth and luster shot

Lookin' sharp! What shape was it in before the detail (scratches, swirls, etc.)?

You did a beautiful job Joe! Great depth, I would swear the car was brand new. What did you use for the tires and trim? I just wish the snow would leave so I can get at my car.

Thanks for the compliments. The car was in pretty sad shape prior to this, since she's "supposed" to take care of it herself. She habitually takes it through automatic car washes, it was swirled straight from the dealer, and had some light scratches as well. Add to the fact our daycare provider has a dirt covered driveway and it's been raining constantly here as of lately, and you can envision the shape it was in.



The car itself is a 2003 model with about 50K miles on it. I used Eagle One A2Z on the wheels and tires I tried the new Meg's NXT insane shine. Wasn't that impressed by it, so I'll be sticking to Meg's Hot Shine tire spray. As for the Gold Class, it's actually the old formula that I've had for some time.
